I won't even be with him for his eighteenth birthday. Mother said he would come back after the war, but who knows when that will be? The whole world is at war and it looks like it will stay that way for a long time. The U.S. has only been involved in the war for 5 months, but many have already lost their lives. Alice's boyfriend came home in a casket about a month ago. He had only been twenty one. I held my best friend as she cried all night for her boyfriend . It is times like these where I hope I never fall in love again. It always leads to heartbreak.
