Albedo had never thought he would ever take upon the chance to create a relationship with a human.
He had never experienced love, not from his friends, not from his mother, not even from himself.
He didn't think it was necessary.
He never thought it was.
But it was different this time.
Looking back at her eyes, her smile, her figure was enough to make his heart flutter.
The alchemist was in disbelief.
Him? Fall in love? The Chief Alchemist?
He would never have time for it.
He would always be busy with experiments, sketches, or tasks from the Knights.
He hated this feeling.
He hated himself for falling in love.
He couldn't help it, can he?
Being selfish and wanting that person to be his.
Love is stupid.
Because of this trivial little thing, he wanted to confess, so it wouldn't bother him anymore.
He really is a selfish being.
"So.. what experiment are we going to do?"
Asked [reader].
"To be completely honest, there is no experiment. I just wanted to spend time with you."
Replied the alchemist.
How sweet.
"I figured.. so what's bothering you?"
Albedo's eyes widened. He didn't expect a direct question.
"Why do you ask?"
"You.. haven't really been yourself. I've noticed."
"Ah."
Sure the alchemist himself loves teasing people no matter who it is, but he hasn't lay a finger on anyone but [reader] herself.
"Why'd you bring me here?"
"It is simple."
"I like you."
That took [reader] by surprise. Albedo? The Chief Alchemist? In love with me? No way.
"You're joking.. right?"
"Why do you think I've been only treating you this way?"
Albedo looked down. He didn't want [reader] to see his blushing face.
"I don't understand this feeling.. and I do not want to be selfish just because I crave for it.. but let me tell you how I really feel."
[reader] took a few breaths, and allowed him to speak.
"I.. um.."
I've never liked someone this much.
I don't know what to do.
You're the first human I fell in love with and I.. hate it.
I hate this feeling.
I hate myself for falling in love with you.
I hate myself for wanting to hold you, to hold your hand, to spend time with you, to stare into your beautiful eyes.. to wake up next to you.
I am selfish.
I don't know if I can provide you the things you need in a relationship.
I don't like this feeling.. but thank you.
Thank you for making me experience how it feels to fall in love.
"Albedo.. look at me."
[reader] pushed up Albedo's face, making him turn to look at her.
He was red.
He was a blushing mess.
Is this the Albedo I've always known?
"If you want me to love you.. earn it. If you want to know if you can provide things for me then, you have to try.
No one knows what happens unless you try.. I've learned that a lot of times."
Albedo's eyes widened.
"Then.. can I know more about you? So I can know how to make you happy.. how to share the same burdens with you.. and how I can cope if I end up falling in love with you over and over again."
This guy..
Such a flirt.
I don't dislike it.
"Albedo.. can I hold your hand?"
"Of course."
