------------- Shelby's P.O.V. --------

I was hanging out in my room listening to "Just the way you are" by Bruno mars and texting my friend Courtney, when suddenly I heard my parents calling me from downstairs.

" Shelby can you come down to the kitchen please" my mom asked

" Coming mom" I said

I jumped off of my bed and ran down the stairs

I walked into the kitchen and saw my parents at the kitchen table while whispering about something and soon turned around when they saw me.

" Did you need me mom?" I asked nicely

" Yes sweetie. Me and your father want to tell you something come sit down with us!" she said

I walked over to a chair and sat down think it was gonna be another dumb lecture that I have to waste my time for.

" Alright Shelby me and your mom thought we were working too much and we need a break from school and work so we were wondering about going on a family vacation" my dad said.

Oh wow a vacation? This is a surprise we haven't gone to one since I was young.

" That would be great dad. Where are we going?" I questioned

" We were think about going to Hawaii" my mom said smiling

Oh My God!! I always wanted to go there, its a dream come true, I cannot believe my parents actually want to go to Hawaii

" OMG, I think its a great idea!! When are we going?" I asked

" In a week" he said

I got up and hugged them not minding how it was such a quick decision and they didn't let me know before. Oh well, maybe they just wanted to wait until everything was confirmed.

" Wait, we're not done talking to you Shelby " My dad said, before I left the kitchen

I turned around and faced them, wondering what they wanted to say.

" Yes" I said

" There is also someone coming with us" he said.

No no no please don't say who I think your going to say! Please don't, not them I mentally prayed

" Who's coming?" I asked nervously, and from the look on my face I already knew my parents were gonna say the name I never wanted to hear again.

"Harry's family is coming with us! All of them isn't it great!??!" Dad exclaimed.

" Dad are you serious, you know I don't like Harry, he's so annoying " I said disappointed and my smile faded away.

" Come on Shelby, don't be like that. It's been a few years since you saw him he changed Shelby. Give the guy a chance" he said looking at me sadly.

" But guys couldn't you have just invited them to dinner or something instead of bringing them into our lives for a full two weeks-ish" I grumbled

" I know honey, but the thing is that, Harry's family wanted to pay for majority of the trip and it was their idea so it was hard to say no, plus they are a family friend" My mom said, trying to cheer me up
