The Frigate went down the hellfire that was superheated plasma proved too much for her although due to the skills of the bridge crew they managed to land her on the Planet below unfortunately in the middle of a desert at least that's what it would appear like if someone were to take a look outside for as long as the eyes could see nothing but Red sand in all 4 directions on a Compass but the sand Was most likely the reason for his survival due to the Sand acting as a pillow for the Frigate to land on otherwise surviving the landing would've been even less likely

But now comes the bad news it appeared he was the only one to survive his squad mates he was with during the landing died upon impact

His best friend was hit by a crate that was not properly secured
The only female member of his Platoon lost her grip and hit against something in an angle she shouldn't have
The Squads designated marksman was in between two doors when they shut and the doors on a warship stop for nothing
The others died in similar ways leaving him the only one in his squad and in the time since the crash he hasn't come across any signs of live just corpses, the Bastards who made her crash in the first place and one thing but opinions if that is to be considered alive vary; the ships Artificial Intelligence

It guided him to the bridge while evading the Enemy combatants he arrived at the doors to the bridge they were locked as they should in situations like this but not for long the Artificial Intelligence opened the door just long enough for him to get through them then they fell close again to keep everything not wanted out

He Looked around but the little hope for survivors he had were disappointed the bridge crew were dead all of them the NavigationsOfficer, Damgecontroll, firecontroll, the captain all dead

The AI guides him to which buttons he had to press to fulfil the Protocol named after the most successful admiral of the war
He did as it showed him it then told him the last thing to do; destroy the ship and AI
for this he had to get into the reactor room and overload the reactor it would explode and erase all signs that there ever was something here not everything one thing would remain an invisible killer Radiation

He climbed into the maze that were the collection of ventilation- and repair shafts

He hoped to evade the enemy scavenger Parties this way for success in this mission was everything anything less was not acceptable and he could not hope to win a prolonged gunfight with a enemy squad they were simply better armed and enjoyed the superior numbers

The AI was no help in maneuvering the shafts for it was just a piece of metal in one of his belt pouches as soon as the AI would have prepared the overload he would destroy the chip it was installed on to make sure it didn't fall into enemy hands for that would make blowing the ship up obsolete

After what felt like an eternity and probably was in the shafts he found a exit at the reactor he silently opened the hatch of the shaft and climbed out

And even here corpses lay everywhere navy engineers as well as Marines men and women who couldn't be more different had just the one thing in common that they were all dead the ship truly had become a graveyard for its crew and it was a still open tomb for him he walked up to a console and put the chip with the AI on into it
the AI got to work preparing the overload after but a few seconds it was done it told him which button to press to activate the overload

He then took the chip out and shot it to pieces with his Service pistol making him the last crew member alive
He stood before the console ready to press the button
But he couldn't help but think about his beloved wife and daughter, his mother and father, and all the people he loved he would never see again that would never know how he died that would never know how much he truly loved them

His thoughts were interrupted by the doors to the room opening in came half a dozen enemy scavengers searching the ship for anything helping their war effort
They screeched like the birds they looked like and opened fire upon him the super heated plasma flying past him and impacting all around him
He gave a last sigh and said "Goodbye." He pressed the button…
