The hot coffee drips down my shirt onto my new, white mary janes. Being in public is a huge nightmare, especially when it's crowded and you're alone. I am having the pleasure of going through all of that while also trying not to be eaten alive by this terrifying woman dressed in pink from head to toe.
- I'm so sorry! This is all my fault, i could buy you a new coffee if you want?
It isn't all my fault. I was the one watching my steps while she was looking down her phone and I knew that because the situation that had just gotten into was my worst fear and I am doing anything in my power to avoid it. Deep down i knew that, yet I felt like i had just ruined this beautiful yet frightening woman's day.
- You're right, this is your fault you idiotic imbecile! Forget it, I don't have time for you. Now get out of my way.
As the woman walks away I start to feel the pain of the boiling coffee on my skin. Maybe this is my fault? I brought it upon myself, didn't I? I shouldn't have walked there. I was taking up too much space. I need to learn to be smaller.. tinier.. quiet-
