POISON IVY by B.Morris

Prologue:

Alex peered at the screen, appraising his master's designs. She watched his face as he looked over the computer screen. Catching her eye, Alex offered a triumphant snarl. He was hungry.

"You're a genius," Alex said lowly at Roxanna. Venom started to flow in his mouth.

She wasn't humble. Roxanna knew exactly how amazingly smart she was without someone telling her. Still, it was nice to be recognized and just when Roxanna had begun to doubt how much he really wanted to hunt like her, like an artist. She smiled and clicked print. The printer buzzed and began printing their pamphlets.

"Tourists have a different flavour," Roxanna near purred, "But you'll discover that for yourself."

Alex was almost drooling at the thought. His canines ached like an overpowering toothache. They wouldn't stay down for long.

"Are you going down to the mall now?" he asked, watching her take the pamphlets and place them in her bag.

"The tours start at one... and three," was all she said, "You'd better be ready by then."

"Yes Ma'am," he answered as she slipped out the door.
