SYNOPSIS:

Lady Theodora has always known her path in life. As her grandmother's heir to the dukedom of Shefolk, becoming the perfect duchess is her primary goal. Her life is peaceful and her juvenile fantasies are fulfilled by travelling cousins whilst she dedicates herself to duties. That tranquillity, however, quickly dissipates. In an attempt to mend her relationship with the monarchy of Stavros, her grandmother offers to help when scandal sets the royal family alight. She just doesn't know that helping means inviting the biggest arsehole into their home.

Prince Alexavier, the heir to the throne of Stavros, has once more brought shame to his family. From openly disrespecting political leaders to illegal street racing in Italy, this appears to be his father's final straw. Completely stripped of his freedom and the tranquillity royal life offers him, Alexavier is shipped to Shefolk; a place he considers the most uninteresting region in his country. There he finds amusement in the form of a stubborn little duchess in training—and he's determined to make her life hell.

Childishly declaring one another rivals, their actions are powered by aggravation and contempt which neither makes an effort to conceal the volume of. The tranquillity they both once knew seems unattainable, although not impossible. And perhaps, once they get there, they'll discover something quietly waiting in the silence.
