It always was Susannah, Laurel, and Shelly. Those three woman together were unstoppable. After college the three girls and their kids would meet at Susannah's beach house, just them and the kids, and we liked it that way.
That was until last year because Shelly would no longer be joining them. My mom had died in a car accident, so I hadn't gone the year before, but this year will be different.
I wanted to go back, I needed to be back, to feel close to my mom again.
