When Francis King lost his family to an intentionally started fire at age twelve, he is forced to pack up the little items that survived the tragic fire and move in with his frail, old-fashioned grandparents.
Three years down the road, Francis is forced to move in with his distant cousins as a result of his grandparents death; it is in the house Francis lives with his cousins, on his birthday, he obtains a letter containing an address that introduces him to Delilah: an anonymous individual who is the only constant in Francis' life.
Regardless that Delilah's true identity remains a secret after a year of steady letters exchanged between the two, Francis cannot help but to trust Delilah irrevocably with everything; however, when Francis finally meets Delilah in the flesh, he is thrown into a world of chaos as Francis discovers answers he never thought possible of being true and love he never thought capable of being felt.
