WHAT IF THERE WAS A FIFTH SHEPHERD SISTER?
Eleanor Shepherd, now Eleanor Ruiz, was the product of an affair that Christopher Shepherd had closely before his death. What if that fifth Shepherd sister had a son? Niko Ruiz, a plucky, scrappy surgical intern who had been separated from the rest of his family for as long as he could remember. He had longed to be part of a large family, so, when his mother passed when Niko was 17, he didn't wait long to reach out to the other Shepherds- more specifically his aunt, Amelia, a neurosurgeon and recovering addict who had recently relocated to Seattle, and his uncle, Derek, the fancy neurosurgeon who loved ferry boats and lived across the country in Seattle.
