When prince Maegor was born the realm was in shock, after years of marriage to The Lady Rhae Royce the Rogue Prince had a son. Many would whisper that the prince wasn't actually a Targaryen, the prince looked more Royce after all, Prince Daemon didn't attend his wife's birthing seeing as he was getting drunk in a Whorehouse blaming himself for his mistake. The prince left the lady to give birth to their child alone. Abandoning her fully, he didn't come to them until the very next morning. When he walked into the room he saw Rhea facing away from the baby, she woke up when she heard Daemon's footsteps

" I'm Here to see my son, The Midwives informed me you don't wish to care for him" Daemon said as he approached the babe in the cradle who was starting to get fussy
" Why would I care for him, I didn't even want him. You forced him in me" Rhea said
"Do you think that I really wanted to lie with you, You were the only options seeing as the desirable ones were gone" Daemon spat back at her in the same tone, He really regrets the night he laid with Rhea he will probably regret it for the rest of life. Daemon looked at the babe who was looking back at him, He approached his son and picked him up the babe smiled at him Daemon could see that he did in fact have his eyes with was a bright blue with specks of purple in it. It was beautiful, he thought. Daemon thought of what he would name his son, He didn't want his son to have the name of Bravery like his father, no he thought his son will be the deadliest soldier in Westeros
" Maegor" Daemon said he knew naming his son after the cruelest person in history wasn't a good idea, he wanted it to be known that no one will fuck with his son
"Maegor II Targaryen future ruler of Runestone and the son of Prince Daemon" Daemon smiled when the boy cooed Rhae looked in astonishment at the pair she may have not wanted the boy, but he will rule Runestone after her, giving him a name such as that will make people fear him.
" You want to name our son after the cruelest ruler in Westeros " Rhae said
" Yes I've named Maegor after the cruel one and i don't have to explain anything to you" Daemon placed Maegor back in his crib and placed a dragon egg in it before he left he spoke to Rhae and said
" You will raise the boy as your son, If you don't i will kill you myself" And with that he left Rhae only looked at the babe and gave him a sad smile and said
