Life is a chessboard, dangerous and hard

A lot of us are pawns, some of us get lucky, but most of us are killed at the start

People are divided by color, black and white

We're all focused on killing and defeating the other side

There's an imbalance of power, for the king is whom we're supposed to checkmate

After all, this world is filled with people who reign over others, isn't that just great?

Rooks, bishops, queens, and knights

They try to take us out all day and night

Our enemies are everywhere, even the pawns

Who will take out anyone they can, even if they won't live long

This is what life is, a chessboard

A game full of strategy extremely hard to survive, a painful and unending war
