City lights are oh-so very bright

They let the stars take a break

Sometimes city lights out-shine stars

Fabricated overpowering the genuine

In the city, you see hundreds of city lights, but only a couple stars

In nature, you can see the whole universe, nearly!

Thousands, upon thousands of stars

All millions of light years away

All just awaiting discovery

The moon, shining so contents upon the faces of dreamers

All awaiting the day thousands of people look up to them

But, in a city, stars get covered up

Not being viewed by all those people concealed by city lights
