Four years. We've been married for four years now. And I still remember the night they proposed like it was yesterday. It was beautiful. The crisp Iceland air, cold. Very cold. On the top of a glacier they took me. Then got on one knee and it was magic. The northern lights were visible that night and I will never forget how they glowed. The green, the blue, the purple. The way they slithered across the night sky with all the stars shining just right in the background. You'd think I'm staring at it right now. Little did I know as I sat here at my vanity, braiding my long hair, my love was watching me. I was in deep thought, about the memorable moment and by the look on their face I knew, they knew it to.
They  walk up to me as I look at them through the mirror. Placing their hands delicately on my shoulders as my warm skin reacts to the temperature of theirs. Sliding their hands down my arms they  eventually take my hand and guide me up on me feet.

"You look remarkable."

They said as they wrapped thileir arms around me and began swaying side to side. Resting their head on my shoulder. Their thick, course hair softly rubbing against my cheek. My hand gently tracing the arch in their neck. I know they enjoyed my delicate touches just as much as I enjoyed theirs.

"Sweetie?"

lifting their head staring into my eyes.

"Yes honey?"

The look on their face is the same look they  gave me when they asked me out. The same look they gave me when they proposed. The look that needed an answer, the look that showed how scared and nervous they were in that moment. Only made me wonder what were they going to say next.

"I want us to be a family babe......I want to look forward to coming home to our family. I....... I want a baby,"

They looked at me with glossy eyes as if I was going to refuse their wishes.

"My dearest love,"

Tears of happiness streamed down my face.

" I want a baby too."

They let out a big toothy smile, the look of pure, genuine happiness.
