Welcome to my very first attempt at writing a novella. This also serves as my entry to the 2023 Open Novella Contest here on Wattpad.
Readers of my other works will be familiar with the setting already: this is an alternate universe historical fantasy set in a fictional world inspired by a combination of Medieval European and Ancient Asian/Chinese cultural elements. If you've not read them, feel free to check them out on my profile wildx22.
This story also features a somewhat different writing style to what I usually adopt. It's a bit of an experiment for me!
And as you can tell from the subtitle of this story, this is a Little Red Riding Hood retelling. So, is there a big bad wolf? You bet.
