"It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone." ~ Rose Kennedy

A long two hour car ride of Niccolò and Manny constantly bickering while I contemplate throwing myself out of the moving vehicle questioning why I even agreed to wake up at five in the morning, I might as well be back in high school.

Manny has a class at eight so we needed to drop him off at campus. Niccolò wanted to get to the apartment and finish setting up his stuff so he doesn't have to worry about it later, I however... don't have a class until noon, I didn't want to have early classes because I didn't want to feel like I was back in high school but we see how well that seems to be working for me thus far.

To pass time I discovered a cute little cafe that is right across the street from the college campus. I'm sitting by the window on a bench-like seat with my laptop, carefully going over all of my class information and analyzing the campus map so I don't get lost... Hopefully.

Well as it turns out... I'm lost.

I never knew a college campus could end up being so... Castle-like?

Seriously what the actual fuck?

After wandering around aimlessly for what felt like hours I ended up running into someone, or someone ran into me, knocking us both over to the floor, this is like Manny all over again. I swear if I just ran into Manny-

"Are you okay?" The voice, which did not belong to Manny, asked.

"Am I okay? Are you okay?" I repeat his question, personal growth.

I remember when this happened with my idiotic best friend.

I could hardly get a word out without almost hyperventilating.

"Why are you asking if I'm okay? I'm the one that wasn't paying attention?"

"It was- you know what I'm not doing this again." I respond as I pick myself up off the floor.

"What?"

"Never mind, I'm already late, it was nice running into you..."

"Ryland." He responds to my unspoken question.

"Ryland." I say with a smile "I have to get going, maybe we should both watch where we are going next time"
