1 - Feelings

(Hi author here this was a thought I had and I think it's pretty cool so ya)

Karkats POV

God fucking dammit karkat. Out of ANYONE you could've been attracted to, not in a million years did you think it would be the fucking popular cat girl that almost everyone likes. Great going you damn dick head. Now she's all you think about. Her tanned, dark skin and her long green trench coat with those stupid pins on the flaps of it. Her pretty but messy hair she refuses to brush if her life depended on it. You don't get why on earth you found her attractive I just... It's hard to explain.
Plus there's no way she'd like me, I mean I guess she's nice to me and hangs around me a lot but it's the same with everyone else! She even hangs around Vriska and has a descent opinion for Vriska, WHO THE FUCK LIKES VRISKA!?

It's frustrating. I can't figure out what she feels, I can't find any signs she has feelings for me, she's just so nice to everyone. No wonder half the people in this school have a crush on her, I can't blame them.

Okay karkat pull yourself together, stop thinking about Nepeta. With her stupid blueish grey cat hat and those olive-ish lips and- GOD DAMMIT KARKAT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.

I can't keep her off my mind. No matter what I do its- "Yo karbro, you feeling good? You're crazy red my man. " Great. Another distraction. I mean at least talking to gamzee could keep my mind off of Nepeta but who am I kidding, he's always high out of his mind or just not at school because of a damn hangover. And that makeup, oh my god that makeup. It's horrible. Yeah he has taste in music but he doesn't need to go prancing around with that shit on 24/7.

"Karkat. Karkat are you even listening. " I felt gamzee poke my shoulder with his pencil. "I'm fine you cock sucker, I'm just thinking right now. " "Yeah, thinking about that cat girl ain't ya. " God dammit he knows. Maybe I can play it off. "No Gamzee I'm not thinking about her. Why would you even think that. " "I just know my man, you're all red and frustrated, I can tell. " Fuck. "Fuck off Gamzee. " I flip him off but he just grins like damn idiot. I try focusing back on the lesson in this dinky classroom but immediately get bored. My mind races again only for it to just think about Nepeta.
God dammit brains are stupid. I clench my fists as I feel my face heat up. I plant my face on the desk in frustration.
A few minutes pass and the bell finally rung, god dammit I've been waiting for this. I sit up and prepare myself for Gamzee to rip me out of my seat like he always does even if I'm not ready but I glance over and see the prick talking to Nepeta.
Yeah go ahead and fuck everything up you bed headed fuck. God he's annoying. Wait why the hell is he walking over here, what the fuck is that in his hands why on earth- "yo karbro check it out, I got an invitation from Nepeta for a party, hell yeah man." Of course he's going to a party, probably to get high or wasted. There's no way he's going there for anything else. I get up from my seat and head for the doorway, trying to avoid any interaction with Nepeta. The last thing I need is to be seen completely red in front of her.

She's looking in my direction, oh my god she's coming to me I'm going to kill myself right here right now. "Hey karkitty! Wait up!! " God. Pull yourself together karkat, don't act like a fucking dork in front of her.

I clutch onto my sketchbooks and look over at her, turning my body to face her. "Here, uhm.. It's an invite to my purty if mew want to come! " I take the invitation hesitatly and stare at her, confused but I don't object the invitation. It might be an excuse to see Sollux. He could take my mind off this shit. "Hey karkitty, I was wondering if mew wanted to sit at my table at lunch fur a change..? " I could've sworn I seen a small trace a red from her cheek. "Uhh... no thanks. " She just stands there, I raise an eyebrow and she immediately scurries off.

Weird... I feel a hand on my shoulder and I turn my head swiftly just to see gamzee staring at me with a wide smile. "Oh yeah she likes you dude, totally into you. Sollux is  gonna crack his shit over this! " "Whatever, now cmon so we can find him, the dick wad is always running all over the fucking place. "
And just like that, me, Gamzee and Sollux were sitting at our lunch table. "You guys going to Nepetas party? " Sollux asked. "I'm going for sure, I bet you Karkat is gonna be smooching up on his future girlfriend. " Gamzee teased, kissing the air. God he's such a dumbass. "Oh yeah? Well I bet you he doesn't even have the guts to tell her. " "10? " "20." "15." "Deal." They do this shit all the time. They always bet on me, Sollux usually wins, he'll probably win this one too. "I smell ch-ch-chicken!! " Sollux teased, making chicken noises at me and having the time of his life doing it. "You guys are pricks you know that right? " "Nuh uh! " Sollux threw a ketchup packet at me and snickered. "Are you going sollux? " "Obviously! I gotta make sure Gamzee Doesn't cheat the bet and push you two together like dolls." Gamzee scoffs, knowing damn well sollux knows what he was going to do. "Well, guess I'll see you guys at the party. " I break off their tension. "Don't be smooching on your girl at the party, that's 15 dollars I'll be losing! " "and 15 dollars I'll be grabbing." "Whatever."
