About the Reader

Y/N is a young woman, 29 years old and has lived in Atlanta, Georgia her whole life. She gets along with pretty much everyone she meets. She has a heart of gold, she's sensitive, caring, intelligent and can be extremely sassy. People who meet her and know her call her "the towns sweetheart" or "little angel" because she really is just a ray of sunshine, her smile could light up the whole room. She's also incredibly gorgeous, another reason people call her an angel, well it's because she looks like one.

Her life growing up wasn't all perfect. Parents were divorced, her mom married a low life drunk asshole that didn't really care much about her. He was never the abusive type with her or her mom, he was just a dick, but he was family so whatever.

Y/N doesn't have a lot of friends, the only friend she does have, is her best friend, Glenn Rhee, a young Asian...Korean guy. She met Glenn when she started her job at the same pizza place he works at. He delivers the pizzas, she just works inside, taking the orders and all that.

Her and Glenn are like two peas in the pod. They got along extremely well considering he also has a personality that's similar to her. Innocent, happy, smart and full of laughter. They adore each other. When they're not working, they're always spending time together. They're inseparable and that's mostly because they live in the same apartment complex too, so when it's time to work they carpool. Come to think of it, there hasn't been a day they don't see each other. They hang out, talking about nothing and everything, either playing video games or watching movies. Glenn quickly become not just her best friend, but her brother, someone she looks up to, literally. Something I forgot to mention is how small she is. Y/N might be older than Glenn but he's protective over her like she's his little sister.

Things have been perfect for awhile, a couple years of the same thing. Y/N started dating a guy who just recently started working with her at her job. A nice, average Joe kinda guy. Glenn was in protective brother mode in the beginning but he warmed up to him and they all became a group of three.

*TRIGGER: Sensitive subject ahead. Mentions of abuse and rape.*

It was perfect for the first couple months. Mr. Average Joe, unfortunately, turned drunk and abusive. The first couple of times she thought might've just been an accident, blew it off and thought 'it's gonna be okay' moving forward, but it wasn't okay. Everyday she would cover up a new bruise he gave her on her arms, her sides and her neck. She started wearing bigger clothes to cover more of her body because he starting calling her 'fat' or 'ugly' always saying that she'll never be good at anything, useless, unappealing...the list goes on.

Glenn could tell something was wrong with Y/N. Every time he came into work, he would notice different things about her appearance. Obviously the new clothing she was wearing in 90 degree weather was a start, but it was how exhausted she looked from all the nights she stayed up crying. And even though she always had make up on to cover up the bruises on her face, he could still see the little marks of a cut that was on her lip or on her check bone. Not only that but she seemed closed off. She still talked to him and they would still hang out but she seemed faraway, distance. He was worried for her and wanted to help her but he wasn't sure how. He wasn't 100 percent sure what was happening to her and he didn't wanna start asking questions incase it made things worse. It wasn't until one day, her and Glenn were at lunch. They sat facing each other in the booth, eating their food, talking about nothing and giggling about stupid shit. The usual. She still had that angel like smile and the contagious laughter. They always bickered when it's time to pay. Glenn being the gentleman that he is, and Y/N being the sweetheart she is, it always turns into another game of rock paper's scissors. So when the waitress came with the check, they both reached for it and when his hand brushed hers, she flinched away. They both played it off, both acting like they didn't notice and that it didn't happen but Glenn noticed. He's too smart for his for own good. He knows what that means. After Glenn wins the RPS match, they leave and head back to work, both unaware that, that night was gonna be the worse night of their lives.
