The Birth of the Sangui

Translated by Sister Deana of the Imran House of Garni in 115 Standard Era from a recently acquired Chedoan Ottrisus dated to 75 Standard Era.

In those days,
The influence of Lunda spread throughout humanity.
The dark plague,
In the south, war between humans perpetuated evil and anger,
In the north, famine starved the masses,
The east brought forth confusion and disorder, humans adrift,
And the west spilled forth disease,
The world was ill with death.
And humans rejected Palo and his children.

So, Palo looked to the needs of humans,
Their loss, filth, hunger, hatred.
And from his left hand he made a cut.
The blood fell into a pile of grains and seeds.
And birthed Narsa, who taught humans agriculture so they would not starve.
From Palo's right hand, the blood dripped,
Into a pile of gold and silver,
Birthing Aral, who demanded order and decree.
Cut from his left foot,
the blood mixed with paper and leaves,
And blessed Imra of medicine and knowledge began her pilgrimage,
From the right foot, blood mixed with iron and fire,
Hirresh stormed the world,
Cutting down injustice and enemies of Palo alike.

Thus, the Sangui were born from Palo.
The teachers of humanity, the diviners of a new age,
Wherein humanity would alone fight the corruption of Lunda,
And triumph.
