I've been along the shore
Washed away by the ocean
Been rolled by the tides and
Scorched by the sun
It's not at all fun
But with patience my beauty
Shines by the morning
And glitters by the evening
Don't think of where I've been
Or how long I've rolled with the tides
This is my pride
And I do not hide or toss to the side
Stormy weather have had its share
And scorching sun a whole portion
But like a jewel by the sea Ive become
Let the passerby sing my song
And praises to the beauty ever so long
Let people gasp at the beauty I've become
This is my pride, I'll never toss to the side
