"Welcome to Zaban City, ladies and gentlemen,"

announced the speaker as the train's doors slid open, prompting passengers to disembark one by one.

Some stretched their limbs after sitting for a prolonged period during the journey.

A young girl stood among the crowd, observing her surroundings while clutching her purse. She sported a black tank top that had pink bows as the straps, paired with low rise baggy jeans.

Her footwear of choice was black converse which were very beat up.

The girl's small black mini bag was adorned with several cute keychains, though inside held her weaponry and tools, including throwing knives, a multi-tool, and a small flashlight.

With sleek, straight blonde hair that reached her mid-back. The girl parted it down the center.

As she exited the train station, she stretched her arms out, feeling the stiffness in her body dissipate. The bright rays of the sun welcomed her out, and she raised her arm to protect her eyes from the blinding light, mildly squinting at it.

She took a deep breath and began walking around town, admiring the unfamiliar buildings surrounding her.

Towering skyscrapers and intricate architecture made her look in awe.

"Whoa," she whispered to herself, taken aback by the city's grandeur.

Mitsu couldn't help but reminisce about her past life, where tall buildings were always in sight. However, she had grown accustomed to living in a small village, and the contrast was refreshing.

As she strolled through the bustling stalls, the vendors greeted her with over-the-top advertisements for their products. Despite the chaos, the lively market excited her, making her feel giddy with anticipation.

She hopped from stall to stall, feasting her eyes on the unknown items.

After nearly 11 years, Mitsu, had arrived in Zaban for one clear purpose: to take the upcoming hunter exam. Despite enduring grueling training from her mentors, Mitsu managed to persuade her grandparents, especially her grandfather, to allow her to participate in the exam. It was no small feat, and she had to resort to drastic measures to make it happen.

As Mitsu strolled through the streets, she paused at a store that caught her eye. "Excuse me, sir," she asked the seller, "I seem to have lost track of the date. Could you tell me what day it is today?" Her gaze drifted to one of the items on display, which she found intriguing.

"It's January 6th, young lady," the seller replied, clasping his hands together. "Another one here for the hunter exam, I presume," he added, deducing her intention with just one question. Many had asked him the same thing that day, dreaming of success in the exam. But dreams come cheap, he thought.

Mitsu released a small race car that she had been toying with and A smile spread across her face as she looked up at the man.

"You're absolutely right, sir! Wish me luck," she exclaimed. The man studied her from head to toe before offering a word of caution.

"Perhaps it's not the best idea. The Hunter exam is no laughing matter," he warned.

"I trust myself and I also owe someone a favor, so I have to pass," she stated, while her eyes roamed over the various toys on display.

The man interrupted her, claiming that most people who take the exam have a bad reputation.

"That's not entirely true, sir," Mitsu corrected him, still smiling. "I have my eye on this one," she said, indicating a small race car that looked like it was made of rhinestones, "I'll take it."
