ELEANOR WILLIAMS WASN'T ALWAYS AN EMOTIONLESS BITCH.
Well, perhaps, emotionless was a bit of a stretch considering she's an empath and being able to feel others emotions just by being in close proximity with them was kind of her whole thing. But constantly being bombarded by emotions that weren't her own - oftentimes which surpassed hers and forced her to feel drained for days on end - and being deemed as insensitive when she finally lashed out had taken a toll on her.
As if being an empath wasn't hard enough, fate had decided a long time ago that she'd take after both her parents and, after a particularly emotionally tiring day, her fangs came in. So on top of having to deal with other people's emotions she couldn't even go outside without wearing blackout sunglasses and suddenly needed to drink blood to survive.
Throw in teenage impulses, a sudden onslaught of vampiric urges, and newly revealed anger issues, and Eleanor's earned herself a first class trip to none other than Nevermore Academy - a school for outcasts on the outskirts of a town filled with people who hate outcasts.
How wonderful.
She knew it'd be hell, of course, stuck in a building with a bunch of emotional teenagers trying to find themselves for months on end, but apparently being dragged around by Wednesday Addams - the macabre goth girl whose feelings are so subtle, so nonexistent, Eleanor's finally able to feel her own around another person - to help solve a murder mystery made it all the more bearable.
