Nereida, known as 'Niri,' is a young mermaid who has always believed that humans were the enemy and the main cause of her people's suffering. No matter what happened, all their issues stemmed from when the world was separated by the god Poseidon– forming the 'above' and 'below'. In their anger and for their survival, the mermaids went into hiding, refusing to interact with the world of man above the waves.
