Still Feels Good

Gary Levox was leaning up against his headboard that was attached to his king sized bed looking through one of his hunting magazines while he waited for his girlfriend Serena to come out of the bathroom so they could go to bed. When she exited the bathroom that was in the master bedroom, Gary looked up and smiled at what she had on. She crawled into bed and Gary put his hunting magazine on the nightstand andkissed her goodnight. Serena moved closer to Gary so that herback was up against his chest and Gary turned off the lamp that was on the nightstand and laid down andput his arm around her waist, Serena sighed happily and put her hand on his arm and fell asleep instantly. It was a hot summer night in Jacksonville, FL, and two hours before the concertand Serena was the new Stage Manager for Rascal Flatts. She didn't know who they were or how they would react when they found out that the new Stage Manager was a girl. She went behind the stage to the table that was set up with drinks and snacks on it and got herself a cup of apple juice. While she was getting her drink she heard one of the light crew guys

"Hey, Serena?"

"What?" she asked and took a drink from her blue plastic cup

"Have you met the members yet?"

"No Paul, I was about to go to the lounging room and meet them though"

Then Paul smirked and Serena raised an eyebrow

"What?" she asked curiously

He shook his head and she rolled her eyes and turned around. When she turned around she ran into someone and the plastic cup cracked making herspill her apple juice all over someone's light blue and white stripedcollared shirt. Paul started laughing hysterically

"I'm so, so, sorry" she said and looked up at the guy

He was about 6 foot blonde hair and blue eyes

"It's alright sweet thing" he said with a southern twang to it

"I should've watched where I was going" she said she then heard Paul say while laughing

"That's a good way to make your first immpression to one of the members"

Her mouth hung open for a few seconds before she regained herself

"I know if someone doesn't stop laughing, he's going to be finding another job" she said loudly

the laughing immediantly stopped

"Let's get you out of that shirt before you get all sticky" she said taking his hand and going to the dressing room.

Once they were in the dressing room she closed the door and went to the shirts that were available

"Again, I'm so sorry for spilling my apple juice all over you um..."

"Gary, Gary LeVox, and don't worry about it" he said

"Alright. Here you go" she said handing him one that was similiar to the one that he had on

"Thank you" he said and took it

"And I'll wash that shirt for you"

"You don't have to"

"But I insist, I owe that much"

"Alright if you insist" he said

"Ok, I'll be outside the door, so you can get changed" she said and walked out the door and closed it behind her.

About two minutes later the door opened

"I didn't quite catch your name"

"Oh, I'm Serena Johnson, I'm the new Stage Manager" she said sticking her arm and and they shook hands

"Well, it's nice to meet you Serena, are you sure you want to wash the shirt, I can do it myself"

"Yes, I'm sure"

he then handed it to her and they started walking to the lounging room. When they got their Gary opened the door and behind that closed door was a black leather couch, a table with food and drinks, and a flat screen TV hanging on the wall. Serena spotted two guys sitting on the couch, one had brown hair and he looked like he was trying to grow a small beard and he had blue eyes and an earpierce, and the other one was tall and hadblonde hair that went past his ears and he hadgreen eyes. Gary and Serena entered the room and Gary shut the door

"Hey G...who's this?" the blonde said looking at Gary and then Serena

"Oh, I know,it has to be Gary's new girlfriend cause she has his shirt that he was wearing 20 minutes ago" the brown haired one said

"Don't pay attention to him, anyway fellas, I'd like you to meet our new Stage Manager" Gary said

"Hey guys, I'm Serena Johnson"

"Hello Serena, I'm Joe Don" the blonde head stood up and shook Serena's hand

"And I'm Jay" the brownheaded one said standing up and shaking Serena's hand too

"It's nice to meet you guys" she said with a smile

"So, if your not Gary's girlfriend then why do you have his shirt?" Jay asked raising an eyebrow suspiciously

"Jay" Gary said sighing

"I accidently spilt my drink on him, and I told him I would wash it for him" she said

"Oh, well Serena, come sit down with us"

They spent about an hour talking and then the guys had to go do the meet and greets, while Jay and Joe Don went ahead and left Gary stayed behind

"Serena if you want, you can keep the shirt, I've got more just like that"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, so go ahead and keep it, I insist" he said smiling

"Alright if you insist" she said laughing

"We'll see you later" he said and then walked out of the room and headed to the meet and greets.

I can't believe it's been 3 years since that day, and the shirt feels the same way it did back then and it looks good on her he thought and then went into a peaceful sleep.
