Meta, Fomey and Kirby family fluff: 1

Part of a collection I'm gonna write because I read some Meta-dad earlier today (when started writing)
Idk exactly when this happens, but probably during the events of KATDS while Kirby is still a baby/toddler

This one focuses more on Fomey and Kirby. Also slight angst/character trauma warning?

Fomey looked down at the small, pink puffball. Well, compared to her, the child wasn't that small, being a little more than half her height. Then again, she was the one who had chosen to make her puffball form much smaller than the average one, perhaps she should be a little taller. Or maybe he was just a tall child, that's just what she hoped, after all, quiet a few of the arch angels are way, WAY taller than the average puffball.

And Fomey, was not an average puffball, technically she wasn't even a puffball, nor was Meta Knight, both simply just took the form of one. Kirby on the other hand, was very much a puffball, specifically the type called the Proper Puffball or an Original Puffball. This was since he was the type of puffball that was made in the universe mother Voids image, earless, tailless, no wings at an early age or any of the other traits the subspecies or other types of puffballs had. Just a place where wings will eventually grow and possible horns.

Yet despite this, the two had a slight resemblance in some ways, and similar characteristics; they both of them were mainly pink, they both had eyes that had then particularly black irises, while Fomey had slightly different eyes, that still held true. Fomey and Kirby also had similar eye colours, well for one of Fomey's eyes anyway, and technically it was teal rather than blue, but it was close enough.

She loved that, she loved feeling like this small, Galaxy saving child looked as though they could of been properly related. It was nice, she had always been slightly envious of the others gods, ancients, guardians and all of the other beings like that's, family's and children, wishing she could have that, and it was only recently, she truly could. And she knew that she wasn't the only who thought they looked somewhat alike, even when she had barely known Kirby, he had thought of her as his mother, cuddling and grabbing her tail. She had been confused at the time, but had grown to love it, though she didn't admit this to many.

She moved her large, fluffy tails towards Kirby, who instantly grabbed one with his nubby hands, stroking the smooth, thick fur. He tugged it closer towards him, cuddling up to it, closing his eyes and smiling out of joy. Fomey felt herself smile, appreciating the joy and happiness of her newly found child.

Only recently did she actually have her own family to spend time with, any.. other family, she hadn't seen in forever.... Castor, her brother Castor, she missed him, she missed him dearly. Even if sometimes she talked to his lucid soul, he was still missing. She hadn't truly seen him in forever, not since the.. incident, where she had just watched him become trapped in that, damn candlestick, doing absolutely nothing.

Her smile became a frown, thinking of that, the event she saw playing in her head. Tears forcing themselves out her eye sockets and down her face. Feeling the fear she had felt in the past, as well as that horrid feeling of being useless outside of creating things.

Kirby looked up at her, his expression slightly lowering to a confused and curious expression. Letting go of the tail in his nubs, he walked closer to the pink kumiho he called his mother, giving her a hug. Fomey was surprised for a second, but embraced Kirby's hug, her tears steadying before stopping completely, her frown disappearing.

"Thank you Kirby." She thanked, letting go. She received nothing more than a few poyos in return, even so, she still knew what Kirby wanted to say, he just didn't exactly know how. Fomey thought to herself for a moment. "How about we go blow some bubbles outside?" She suggested to him.

"Bubble!" He replied excitedly, running off to find the bubbles. Fomey got up, a smile back on her face, following Kirby.
