"You've had multiple offers."

George sat tensely in his chair, arms crossed and fingers intertwined as he hung onto every word being spoken. He was calm on the outside, but inside he was filled with anxiety as he grasped onto every detail with an attentive ear.

Much to his amazement, George was suddenly inundated with offers from multiple companies. They sent him enticing gift baskets in hopes of swaying him into joining their team; taking the time to really think about it, George couldn't understand why they were all so interested in him. He had no idea just how popular he was.

"Oh." That's all he could say. Truthfully, George had expected to be the one who got the least offers. He just didn't see himself as worthy as the other boys. They deserved all of this, not him. Though if they ever heard his thoughts, they'd be livid with him for thinking so badly about himself.

"Oh? George, you have opportunities of a life time being handed to you right now. What do you mean 'oh'? Aren't you happy?"

George nodded. "I'm happy."

"You don't seem so sure."

"I am. I'm astounded. Why do they want me?"

Every person in the room stared at him like he had grown three heads. Doesn't he see his worth? His impact? They were taken aback by how little George thinks of himself. It was no wonder why he had been so hesitant to attend this meeting; his self-doubt was now more evident than ever.

"Why wouldn't they want you?" Asked his manager with a small chuckle. "They'd be lucky to have you, and you need to realize that. You'd bring so much to their company. This has minor benefits for you, sure but it has a large impact on them too. Trust yourself."

George ran a hand through his hair, staying quiet for a moment before he heaved out a sigh with a nod, coaxing the meeting to continue.

"Gucci has the biggest offer, but YSL is a close second. They're currently in huge competition for you, though ultimately, the decision is down to you."

George's mind had already been made up since the very first gift basket. YSL was his grandmother's favourite brand, and he knew she would be completely over the moon for him.

So, without a second thought, he signed a deal.
