[Timeline: Ending Days of Season of Aurora]It was a normal day in Hidden Forest, the oh so usual Moth and Butterfly duos running across from tree to tree
A veteran was sat on the tree branches near the meditation shrine on a light bloom... Or at least looked like she was sitting
She sighed happily, "I should really take more breaks like these", she spoke to herself as she recalled Aurora's enchanting concert
It was a beautiful experience, one she really enjoyed, but boy did that crowd drain her energy, she sighed, recalling how hectic the wait had been and how impatient some of the others were being there
'For the first time since my moth days, the honking made my ears hurt', she had found it annoying at times but never had the honking hurt before. Until the concert at least
The sound of the rain hitting the leaves and branches of trees, the calm wind that accompanied it, it helped with the ringing in her ears from the concert
Just then, she noticed a pair of skykids near the shrine
She was sharp enough to notice the capes, for while the skykid themselves had no faces until their candles met, the shape of the cape would still be visible
"Season of flight and season of... Prophecy... capes.... maybe?", She whispered to herself, 'Are they a pair of veterans?', she thought
She could be wrong about them being veterans but she didn't really care if they were
Out of curiosity, she silently flew down and landed in front of the tree whose branches she had taken as a resting spot
She walked to the shrine, not wanting to be rude or anything, she honked at them from under its roof
They stopped talking and turned their attention to her
She waved at them and honked again, 'Why am I nervous??', she thought to herself as she just nervously stood there waiting for their response
No response came from them, this was starting get really awkward
She honked again, 'when was the last time i interacted with another skykid????', she thought as she started to panic a little at the lack of response from the other two
It was a surprise to her when the skykid with the actually-wing-shaped cape walked over to the shrine and held out their candle
She paused, it had been a while since someone had offered her a candle especially since her moth days
She quickly snapped out of her thoughts when she heard them honk at her and pulled out her candle to them
The skykid revealed to have a bird inspired outfit, it looked quite comfortable, and that one bird mask, 'Ugh, I really need to remember the names of all the spirits and their items'
She let out a happy honk and bowed at the bird like skykid. She then looked at the other skykid, the one who she assumes has a prophecy cape. They seemed rather content on staying out in the rain
She found it odd, perhaps they had a lot of wings to spare
'Now... What do I refer to you as until we become friends, if we ever do', she scratched her head as the bird-like skykid honked, and probably resumed their conversation as they waited for a response from her
'I'll call you Birdy in my head for now', she thought as she pulled out her candle again and gestured towards the rest of the forest, 'I wonder if they're on a candle run together'
Birdy called their friend over. After like a minute or so of conversing with the unlit skykid, Birdy gestured for her to follow and they proceeded into the forest
Huh, maybe she was right. Maybe they were on a candle run
And she was.
They spent the rest of the run together, both she and the duo enjoyed the run
They had fun racing each other through the rain, it helped that all three had umbrellas on them
She even got the scare of her life when the unlit skykid, who she came to call Unlit for the time being, forged at least 10 candle cakes worth of candles in front of her
'That's a LOT OF CANDLES WHAT IN TH-', she tried to mentally calculate how long that must've taken to collect as she stared at Unlit
Her surprise turned to embarrassment when both Birdy and Unlit started giggling, "Hmph!", she stomped in response
They calmed down and sat near the trees next to the entry of the next realm and honked at each other since that was really the only way they could communicate other then gestures and actual talking
'They're really fun to be around, maybe I could...', she contemplated if she should offer a friendship candle
'Forget it, I like these two. Birdy is cool and Unlit is obviously a friend so I should be able to stay in touch with both if I befriend one of them', she concluded since Unlit seemed to not want to light her at the moment
She honked at them to get their attention and offered Birdy a friendship candle, 'I hope they accept the candle'
It took a second, and for a moment she thought they would reject, but they accepted
She bowed to Birdy for accepting her friendship candle, 'We're friends now', she thought excitedly
She looked forward to continuing this candle run with them
Just then the soft ring of a bell interrupted her train of thought and she stood in place, both the skykids looked at her
She was bowing once again and this time it was accompanied with a wave
They returned the gesture when they realised she had to go, after all, the return call from the bell of Eden's Home gate could get quite annoying if one doesn't return to Home after the first two rings are heard
She watched them leave for the next realm through the gate in front of her, 'I guess I'll meet you later'
The bell rang a second time, it was louder than the last, "Oh fine, I'm coming back! No need to start getting louder", she grumbled to herself as she rubbed her ears
