3 days later ~ 5th June year 27 ~ Sora POV

I opened my eyes in a white room with beeping sound. At least I'm alone this time.

I slowly tried to sit up and groaned when I inadvertently applied too much pressure on my hand. I was in a better condition. Most of my injuries besides my hand were healed.

I listened to my surroundings and most of the rooms were occupied with injured people. Outside you could hear some Jonins giving orders on how to clean/rebuild the houses and all.

I sorted some of the memories I received from Miku and the ravens while I was out. There were less casualties than I had calculated though more destructions. The kids were all fine as well as the parents. Miku and the other Anbus were helping with interrogating the numerous intruders. The other Kages left yesterday. Gaara and his team escaped during the commotion while Naruto and Sasuke fainted after their fight though they were both awake now and were helping with the reconstruction. Minato had to hold multiple meetings to explain what happened though he omitted the edo-tensei part.

After I looked through a couple of other memories, I chose to go back to sleep since my hand was throbbing.

Hours later

"Sora~ when are you going to wake up.", Shisui whimpered.

"I'm awake Shisui.", not expecting an answer, Shisui yelped making an awkward sound.

I couldn't help but laugh at him.

" SORA! YOU'RE ALIVE!", he hugged me after regaining his composure.

"Ow ow ow."

"Shisui, you're hurting him.", Itachi pulled him away by his collar.

"Senpai, I'm glad you're awake."

"Hn!", I stayed with the Uchiha far too long. I too got infected with the Hn. Better be careful out there.

We discussed until Tsunade came for the check up and told me I could leave though I should take it easy with my hand. Itachi, Shisui and I returned to the compound where Mikoto cooked a feast and invited everyone over to brighten up the atmosphere.

Kakashi and the kids asked me where I was and what happened to my hand since they hadn't seen me after the attacks began. Minato and I made up a random lie of me protecting the other Kages. The dinner was lively and everyone was conversing happily. I observed the kids; more specifically Sasuke. He would sometimes randomly have this dark look on and he was returning to his emo self. Itachi and me shared a glance; he too had noticed the changes.

NO ONES POV

It's been weeks since the attack and the village was slowly getting back to its original state. People were smiling,  parents allowed their children to go out to play, hospitals' beds were slowly emptying and ninjas were back to going on missions with their respective teams.

Speaking of ninjas, everyone became a chunin. 𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘕𝘢𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯. They had all proven themselves to be ninjas during the attack. So Minato and the council didn't see anything wrong with making them Chunnins.

Team 7 had just returned from a simple bandit mission and were in the Hokage's office reporting. They all looked happy to be back, having completed the mission successfully. Well,... all except Sasuke observed Sora.

With each passing day the kid became more and more of a brooding mess. He became distant with everyone, his friends, his mom, and even his Brother! 𝘠𝘦𝘱! 𝘕𝘰 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘰-𝘤𝘰𝘯. Everyone tried asking him what happened but he ignored us. It's not like he was being violent to his team but Kakashi had reported that he had to stop the kid from outright torturing their enemies when out on easy C-rank missions. Just like how Kakashi was when he shut everyone out before. Maybe that's why the grey-haired sensei kept checking on him and why Sasuke was only 'talking' to him. 𝘖𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 '𝘏𝘯' 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘮.
