The world had been covered in darkness, condemded to hell by a god that didn't exist. A deadly virus had managed to spread its way through every living thing leaving only death and pain behind it. The lines between right and wrong blurring and the rules that society lived by faded. It had been years since anyone had lived a plain and simple, but happy life, now it was just a storm of violence. The world was a living contagion and the grass would never be greener again.

Hope had been teared away from the palm of Delilah Andersons' hands, her mere existence was a case of unfortune. The teenager fought for her life everyday, even though her life really wasn't worth living. Delilah had been dead since the beginning, before the world was turned upside down. Not physically of course, but the redhead had been deprived of any sought of life since the ripe age of 6 months. Where her teenagers mother left her at the doors of a hospital, never to return.

At such a young age Delilah had been passed around from foster home to foster home. She was never at one long enough to call it home, and none of the foster parents were qualified to be any sort of parents. Most of them were incapable of taking care of a pet fish, let alone a child.

The high strung girl was left alone to fend for herself when the pandemic began. And she was good at it. But it wasn't the life she ever wanted. After all she was just a teenager in such a big and dangerous world. But sometimes all you need is a home, and a family.

And maybe a certain tight-knit group could give her just that...or maybe she was doomed to spend eternity alone...
