In ancient times, demons roamed around the realm of Halcyon, bringing slaughter and fear to all whom they encountered. Their dark legions once swept across all lands, leaving devastation, and thus the world cowered in fear. None could withstand such a demonic throng, so the gods resettled upon bestowing gifts on those who were worthy-those who had pure and kind hearts-hoping it could end the terror that the devils had brought. These mighty warriors are entitled Slayers; they are known and rose to defy demons and protect Halcyon as evil once again started to lurk after years of peace.
