Younghyun stumbled slightly down the corridor to his apparent, weighed down a bit by the bags of carry out he had decided to pick up.
He stopped in front of the door, shifting the bags to one hand in order to find his key and unlock the heavy apartment door.

" I'm home- " He began to announce before hearing,

" Okay and that's all for today! Thank you for watching, we'll play another battle royal game next time- or maybe an rpg depending on what y'all choose in the poll on insta. I'm logging off now- bye!"

Younghyun laughed a bit to himself at Jae's ridiculously long outro. Jae had always been doing youtube- starting with song covers back when he was much younger, then evolving to vlogs and gaming content. Now almost a decade later, the older male still posted and live streamed with a large dedicated fan base accumulated over the years.

Jae seemed to have heard him arrive, because a few seconds after ending his live, the tall messy haired male entered the room. He was in his usual over sized clothing, that complimented his slender lanky frame, with his round glasses perched on his nose.

" Welcome home Bri-Bri" He said with his usual rather laid back tone of voice. He sounded a bit tired.

" Hey- you brought takeout! Yes!" Jae walked over to help Younghyun with the bags and place them on their small round dinning table- obviously mainly interested in the food.

" Hey- no thank you? I went all the way downtown for YOUR favorite restaurant." Younghyun crossed his arms, trying his best to look offended and hurt.

" Thank you Brian-" Jae repeated back in a slightly mocking, singsong-y tone, while walking over to Younghyun and wrapping his arms around his waist and engulfing him into a hug.

" You're the best! What would I do without you-" he added, in a more genuine tone but still playful.

" I don't know- probably starve. Or drown in dirty laundry."
Younghyun replied with a laugh as he leaned into the hug, putting his arms around the other.

"Hmm- How was your day?" Jae hummed as he slightly pulled away to study Younghyun's face.
Jae usually did this- at first Younghyun didn't get why the other wanted to look at his face so often- Especially when they saw each other every day. Plus Jae's unwavering eye contact was weirdly out of character for his personality, and used to make Younghyun quite embarrassed. Well, it still sort of does. But he's gotten used to it- Although he still hasn't completely figured out why. After they started dating he just chalked it up to Jae wanting to catch a glance at his crush- But now they've been dating for well over 3 years and he still catches the other staring at him.
" Why do you always look at me with such a serious expression?" Shit,- he didn't mean to ask it so abruptly.
Jae smiled softly,
" Well, um I guess at first it was just
'Woah he's so beautiful'-
" God you're cringey" Younghyun interrupted -
" Waiit- that's not all, let me finish-" Jae waved his hands panicked with an expression that looked like he was just accused of a crime he had nothing to do with.
" Buuuut-
I realized, you're always doing so much. For me- For our band. You literally wrote 2 songs a MONTH for a year. You worked so hard- and yet you're always looking out for me, and for everyone else. And it didn't feel fair. So I wanted to look out of you-
You know- just check up on you, make sure I don't miss anything-" Jae laughed a little hopelessly, running his hands through his brown hair (that was mainly blonde streaks at this point), before sighing and looking down-
" I know it sounds ridiculous, and cringey- and I know it's not much- but-"
" It's not cringey." Younghyun responded (well more like interrupted) in a slightly louder tone of voice than he meant.
" Huh?" Jae looked up a little surprised
" I said, it's not cringey." Younghyun repeated in a quieter tone, his gaze shifting to a softer one, before reaching to cup his lover's face with both hands.
" It's sweet."
Jae blinked back at him, blankly.
Younghyun sighed-
" I mean, it's sweet that you're always looking out for me." He tried his best to explain what he meant. Younghyun found it absolutely heart-wrenching, but in an 'oh my god I can believe all this time you were actually trying to make sure I was okay and that you appreciate things I didn't even do on purpose and you're just so sweet- I just love you so much- ' kind of way. If that explains anything at all. (It probably doesn't)
" I mean- I didn't do anything-" Jae chuckled awkwardly.
" Shut up and take the compliment." Younghyun replied, not in the mood to have a compliment battle.
" Heyyyy, I'm trying to be nice." Jae said, 'offended', once again is his usual joking tone.
Younghyun laughed, before leaning slightly upward to press a quick kiss to the other's lips.

" Hey, Jae, have you seen my headphones- I can't find them anywhere?"
Younghyun asked, going into Jae's 'office'- it was basically just where Jae played video games for hours and streamed, it also had his guitar and both their music equipment. (Younghyun preferred to keep his own base guitar in their shared room)

" Hm? I think they might be in the kitchen. I'm on stream- everyone say 'HI BRIAN'" Jae said, spinning in his fancy gaming chair (Younghyun still thinks it's a waste of money) to face the other, who was still peaking his head through the room's door.
Younghyun quickly ducked out of frame in shock- he usually tried his best not to show up in Jae's videos or streams at all. Honestly, other than for music, Younghyun didn't really enjoy being on camera at all. It was awkward- like meeting your partner's parents. There's a pressure to live up to some invisible expectations. Honestly, he never understood why Jae would willingly do such a thing.
" OH- sorry! Thanks!" He quickly yelled back at the door- Younghyun could hear Jae's laugh at his embarrassment. Although slightly annoyed- he couldn't help but smile. Jae's laugh was always contagious, not exactly loud but it sounded like he couldn't help himself, to the point where his laugh was mostly just silent gasps for air- the kind where your stomach hurts and you can feel your eyes tear up. The kind of laugh where he can't help but double over- or throw his head back and slap the person next to him- or fling himself on the floor.
Probably one of the many reasons Younghyun loved being around the other so much- He always found himself dying of laughter at the simplest things.

About an hour later- after hearing Jae speed through his super long outro- Younghyun re-entered the room, approaching his lover from behind and propping his chin on top of the other's head.
" I can't believe you literally sprinted out of the room- I'm gonna save that clip." Jae sneered playfully- turning his his head to look up at Younghyun.
" You're exaggerating- I didn't not sprint. I just didn't know you were streaming." Younghyun responded 'as-a-matter-of-fact-ly'.
" mhm- sure." Jae made sure to drag out the word 'sure'.
" Actually- I think that might be the first time you've ever shown your full face!" Jae added, somewhat shocked, somewhat smug.
" Huh? No way. It can't be, I must have been in the background, you've been doing this for way too long, and we literally live together." Younghyun said, in a tone of disbelief.
" Well either way, the chat blew up."
" it's probably because another person showed up, don't worry about it."
" Okay. It was still weird though." Jae mumbled, fixated that something was off.
" I said- Don't worry about it! I swear to god being in front of a monitor all day has started to melt your brain!" Younghyun said in a stern tone, reaching over to drag his boyfriend out of his chair.
" You sound like my mom!" Jae laughed, letting Younghyun pull him up and out of his chair.
