I Can See You (Taylor's Version)

Taylor, a sophomore at Cornelia High School, was the new girl in town. After moving to the area with her family, she was both excited and nervous about starting at a new school. Hoping to make some friends and get involved in the community, Taylor decided to try volunteering at the school's fundraiser, helping at the concession stand.

The fundraiser was a car wash, organized by the fitness department to raise funds for the arts department and their budget to their upcoming fall musical, in which in big surprise of being the new girl, Taylor had landed the lead role in Love Story: A Romeo And Juliet Musical. As she stood by the concession stand, nervously watching the bustling crowd, she struck up a conversation with Selena, the student body president at Cornelia High, who was overseeing the whole event.

Selena was a friendly and outgoing girl and immediately made Taylor feel welcome. They chatted about their interests, classes, and the upcoming musical. As their conversation flowed, Taylor couldn't help but notice a stunning figure across the lot. It was Jake, a handsome and popular guy from the school's football team. He was shirtless, his athletic physique glistening and bejeweled with droplets water from the car wash. With each movement, his confidence and charisma seemed to shine through.

Intrigued, Taylor turned to Selena and couldn't resist asking about Jake. Selena smiled knowingly and told Taylor that Jake was not only a star athlete but also known for his friendly and approachable nature. She mentioned that he had a reputation for being kind, witty, and of course his sexy model-like appearance. Taylor's curiosity grew, and she found herself unable to tear her gaze away from Jake as he effortlessly moved around, using his shirt to dry his hair. In that moment, the world seemed to fade to black and white, but Jake stood out vividly in her mind, like the both of them were the only burst of color in a faded polaroid.
