It was a cold night on the Northern Market. Yet people were still at work. Not many people worked this late, but a few did. Yet no one saw the dragon in the sky. How could they?
The beast was dark blue, stars covering it's wings. It was as good as invisible in the night sky.
The dragon landed a while away from the market in the woods. She warbled softly and pressed her nose against her rider. The girl smiled slightly. Her face was covered by a dark hood and a mask. Her clothes were covered in dragon scales. They were just as dark blue as the dragon she was riding.
the only thing that would make her visible, were the two blades she held. They shimmered in the moonlight, giving away her location. But she didn't mind. If anyone saw her, they should know she was armed, they should know to stay away.
'You stay here girl, I'll be back before sunrise.'
The dragon warbled something again, and then she jumped up in a tree, curling her tail around a branch and hanging upside down like a bat.
Thyra smiled. She turned around and ran to the market. Not long ago, she decided to retrieve the Maces and Talons set from her brother's camp. Only to notice it was missing a piece. The Viking chief. The one he always held with him, because he represented it.
Thyra hoped that someone could make her another piece or that someone would be willing to trade something for it. She wanted the set to be complete. And that is why she found herself in one of the inns, knowing there were enough people to notice the board in front of her. Surely there was someone there who could get her the missing piece.
Somewhere in the darker corner of the inn, a man watched her come in. His eyes widened in shock, not that anyone saw. The hood covered his face, and his scars. He thought for a moment, but then he stood up. He wouldn't show his face, but talking wouldn't do any harm right? After all, how could she possibly thing he'd be alive?
