Remedy

1) James

"Michelle for the last time, you will find a maid of honour" I said rolling my eyes for the fiftieth time this phone call
"Do I need to remind you James, I get married in less then 2 months time and I don't have shit right now and I don't-" She continued to screech while I watched my office door open and the main culprit come walking in
Caden
"Asshole" I mouthed earning nothing but a snigger while he motioned to the phone knowing who was on the other end of the phone 

"Hey sweetheart" He said and I feel like I could hear Michelle's pout already
"What are you stressing for?" He asked making me roll my eyes, he just opened up the gates to hell with one single question

As much I used to hate the idea of Michelle and Caden, the idea of them grew on me over the years and now dare I say that I couldn't be happier for them
Michelle was a sister to me and all of the boys growing up, when we met Caden in college he mixed with us straight off the bat and none of batted an eye lid until just under 5 years ago now when they started dating 
We all had our gripes at first, Michelle was our little sister. He was our best friend. It's cliché but we all fell into the trap

"Elle, let me talk to Riley and I'll see if I can get her to come early. I'm sure she'll love to be your maid of honour-" He started before pulling away the phone from his ear making me chuckle 
Caden is the only one who would ever be able to live the day after calling Michelle 'Elle' she hates us all calling her it, it's reserved for him it would seem

"I'll get her a call after the gang leave tonight okay?- Yes babe you can sit in on the phone call - Yes I got, Yes alright" He said putting his head in his hands at this point
"Sure you want to go through with this?" I smirked
"I heard that James!" I swear I heard Michelle yell making me laugh even more 

It didn't take long for their conversation to come to an end, Michelle would have most likely found something else to occupy her time before we all met up at their house by the time we finished
Caden and I had started our own small record label straight out of college. I was more of the face for the music and Caden was the business man behind the scene but over time we've developed the dynamic that we cover both as a united front 

"So the two month count down begins" I smirked earning a glare from him while I did my best to keep it together
"Do you think your sister will come back? I mean it's been what 5 years since she lived here. None of us had even met her yet" I asked
"Incorrect, Michelle and Eldon had met her. Plenty of times actually" He smirked this time

Out of all of the boys, Caden and I had always been closest so he would always get butthurt whenever I hung out with the boys without him so he seems to think I would get jealous too but that is not my scene

"I think she will, I mean she'll probably bring Nick with her but that wouldn't be bad" He explained making me shrug
"Nick?" I hummed
"Her boyfriend, man he is a god send. I never thought I would like any of Riley's boyfriends but this one is perfection I swear to god" He gushed
"Are you sure you are straight?" I asked before he attempted to throw something at me 

"Riley never had the smoothest sailing, she's struggled a lot especially after we lost Mum. But Nick seems to have been her save haven. He helped her a lot more then I could so I think I'll always be in dept that boy" Caden explain making me offer a sympathetic smile

He knows better then anyone I understand what he means. my younger sister Piper has her moments, she's anxious and in her head all the time. I try to see her as often as I can but after my Dad left her for some random girl she seems to blame me etc etc 
It's a hold lot of mess I don't ever want to unbox with anyone again

By the time Caden and I had finished at the office we knew everyone else would be there at his shortly. We had swing by to pick up Michelle from her mother's house with then in turn meant that the back of my car was full to the brim of pink poofy shit and I didn't even want to know what it was
"I thought your colours were blue?" I asked the pair as they sat in the back seat together almost cuddling. They always stick as close as they possibly can when they are in the same room, or in this case vehicle 
"They are but Mum wanted me to take a look at those pinks to see if any of them would compliment the blue at all. I wasn't big on the idea but I mean what can it hurt" Michelle shrugged before turning back to Caden giving him one of her smiles that she specifically reserves for him 

As soon as we pulled up to the house we were greeted by Hunter Eldon and West sat on the hood of Hunter's truck deep in conversation about something 
"Yo Cade have you not heard that we have an electric shortage or something" Hunter said making all of us look at him confused before he motioned to living room window where it was clear the main light was on

"Did you leave it on when you left Elle?" Caden asked with his arm tightly around her
"No, I triple checked" Michelle said looking a little worried
"The spare key isn't here either" Caden muttered to himself as he began to open the door

We all walked in together but Caden was the head of the pack at this point as he walked into the house looking for some sort of answer
But the answer was standing right in his living room

Right by the window looking out onto the garden was a small brunette, the same shade of brown that mirrors Caden's
"Hey Cee" She whispered as she turned around to face us

"Riley" He breathed out before moving across the room to greet his sister.
