chris was sitting on the couch with his phone in his hand staring at the texts he had received and the words that said non delivered staring back at him.

"fuck!" chris yelled throwing his phone across the room putting his head in his hands and tugging on his hair a little too harshly.

his yelling grabbed the attention of his two brothers who immediately came down the stairs and saw chris, wondering what had happened yet they were too scared to ask.

nick finally decided to ask making chris jump because he didn't realize both of his brothers were downstairs.

"chris what's wrong?"

he looked up exhaustion and stress written all over his face making the two boys worry about him more until he finally spoke up.

"athena broke up with me. i don't even fucking know why and she blocked me." he sighed making the two boys widen their eyes.

matt was going to speak up, utterly confused as to why she did it, but figured it was best not to make him more upset since he didn't know himself. instead nick decided to sit down on the couch beside chris and put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "chris when did this happen?"

chris looked up at nick, "a few minutes ago." he sighed again as matt sat down on the other end of him.

"why don't you try calling lilith to ask what happened?" matt suggested making chris quickly grab his phone fumbling with the buttons until he finally pressed the call button for lilith.

it rung three times before it went straight to voicemail and chris audibly groaned about to throw his phone again but nick stopped him. instead nick got his phone out and pulled up lilith's contact pressing the call button.

this time it was answered in less than two rings making chris put his head in his hands again while matt put his hand on his back.

"lilith what's going on?" nick asked putting the phone on speaker. "what do you mean?" lilith asked.

matt spoke up next causing chris to hit him since lilith would know she's on speaker. "why'd athena break up with chris?"

over the phone you could hear muffled words before she finally answered back. "ask him yourself. he knows why." she said a little too harsh causing chris to become even more upset now that he knew everyone was mad at him and he had no idea why.

"but he doesn't know why." nick said.

"what?" lilith asked back both curious and incredulously. "he doesn't know why lils." matt answered back, "hell we don't even know why." he chuckled but then stopped realizing this was not a funny situation.

there was a short pause until movement could be heard and athena's voice spoke through, "what the fuck do you mean he doesn't know why? he literally lied to me." she said seriously making the boy look at each other with their brows raised.

"can i come over?" chris spoke up abruptly, "can we at least talk about this? i have no clue what's going on." he said sadness evident in his tone.

a few seconds passed before athena sighed and finally gave in. "fine but i swear if you're lying to me again i'm never speaking to you ever again."

that was all it took for chris to jump to his feet and literally run to the door as the two boys followed suit.

how are you guys doing today? i hope you are all doing good and staying safe as always!

rn i'm trying to pick out songs so i can create a playlist for the story but i honestly haven't got far.

also the next chapter will probably be the last in athena and chris' pov of whats happening in their relationship after that i will most likely focus more on matt and lilith's relationship 🤭🙌
