Lydia Fisher has been going to the Outer Banks for as long as she could remember. Ever since she was a little girl Lydia lived for the beach, the sand and those oh so hot summer nights. Summer also meant that Lydia could finally see her friends. The Pogues.

Lydia had met JJ Maybank and John B Routledge her very first summer at Kildare. The young boys had been very surprised to see the girl all alone at the beach —building her sand castle. But it didn't take long for JJ to walk up to her and ask if she wanted to go surfing with him and his best friend. Lydia had happily agreed to join them and since that moment the three kids became unseparable. And that's how they stayed for years.

But this current summer everything seems to be different. Lydia isn't a little girl anymore and neither are her friends or brothers. No, this summer Lydia gets pulled into a treasure hunt —one that she can't tell her family about. While Lydia's brothers get pulled into their own world. Which is full of Kook parties, Kook fights, and there very own love triangle.

But through all this, Lydia would have never imagined that her brother Conrad was keeping such a big secret from her. She also didn't expect to be crushing on her best friend again and for said best friend to feel the same way.
