"I'll set the E-Traceeeerr here." Riley drawls, settling it on a flattened stump. Shelby peers over his shoulder as they set it up together. Tyler and Koda sit on/in a tree, with Tyler journaling and Koda doing... something. Chase is plucking daisies and i'm sifting through my emails.
I tear my eyes from my phone as I hear Tyler gasp. Koda sniffs the air (?) as his dino comm bleeps. "Alien biosigns in your area." Ms Morgan informs us.
"Hey, shut down the E-Tracer." This gets Riley and Shelby on their feet, frantically closing it down and passing it off to Tyler to load into the truck. "We need to get it out of here now."
"Careful! That's irreplaceable." Shelby warns sternly.
Riley chimes in, "Ok, just start the jeep, we're right behind you." Tyler nods, jogging out of the clearing, "We'll keep watch while you load up!"
I pocket my phone, throwing my zip-up hoodie back on. "Energems?" Riley checks, receiving nods from us all around. "Good, let's go."
We run out of the clearing, "Alright Ty...ler..." Riley trails off, coming to a stop as our red ranger and his truck are nowhere to be seen.
"He left us? What-" Shelby calls him on her dino comm, demanding to know where he is. "Is that supposed to be funny?"
"Shelby?!" He responds in disbelief.
"You just took off and left us!"
"What?" Tyler exclaims, "I'm looking right...at you-" his comm cuts off after that.
"That doesn't sound suspicious at all. Let's head back. Now." I suggest.

Back at base, we pile into the lab as Keeper and Ms Morgan pull up a map. "You, find Tyler?" Koda asks.
"No, he still isn't responding" Ms Morgan's answer pulls a stressed sigh out of me.
"I'm gonna scan this city for alien DNA." Riley wastes no time in manning the scanner consoles.
"When I talked to him," Shelby runs her fingers through her hair,"Tyler thought he was with us. Whoever he was with, they were fooling him."
Prrrp prrrp
"Alien biosigns detected in the city complex." Riley supplies, facing the group once more.
Koda responds with, "Then that's where we go, yes?"
"Maybe we should split up." Shelby addresses the room, "I could go back the woods and retrace our steps and see if I can find Tyler." She backs away from the table, alongside Riley who agrees to go with her.
"No," They halt, "Kendall and I will continue to search for Tyler. You must work together to find the E-Tracer before Sledge can locate the gold energem." Keeper advises, and I nod along with him.
"You're right," she admits, "we need to work as team. Let's get moving." She nods at us before leading us out.
