(A/N): This story concerns events that have taken place in another story, The Out Of Body Experience, which is why you will see a lot of (Y/n) and these events from her perspective, since she sees these scenes from her dreams. This is specifically a compilation of Rauru and Sonia moments from that story so it's more accessible to those who wish to revisit those moments in one swoop.

As if watching a play in real time, (Y/n) spotted a woman in strange robes, donning jewelry that looked quite familiar to the jewelry she would make at her shop.

The woman had her hands clasped in prayer, and she appeared to be in a snowy area, in a spring where she kneeled before a goddess statue before her.

"Please, Goddess Hylia, give me the answers I seek. These visions of mine... What do they mean? What is this darkness I sense approaching, and the light that comes to combat it? Please, answer my prayers." She murmured softly, her eyes closed in concentration.

Upon watching her, (Y/n) felt a strange sense of Deja Vu.

What was this darkness she was talking about, and this light?

After being still for a moment, the woman's eyes then opened, a sort of... peaceful look appearing in her striking eyes. "I... see. Then I shall head there straight away."

When she returned back to the inn after her first swimming lesson with Sidon, (Y/n) had another strange dream when she fell asleep...

This one... About a strange being. One she has never seen before.

What (Y/n) had seen was a strange, slender bodied being, with the biggest ears she has ever seen, standing on a wooden pole of sorts, reaching for some game he presumably hunted. It was laying atop another wooden stake at an awkward angle, and when his hand missed to grab it, he lost his footing on the pole he was standing on, and yelped as he fell into the bog below, now drenched in muck, which came at a contrast to his flowing, mainly white hair.

(Y/n) couldn't help but snicker at the comical sight, before hearing double as she then turned, seeing the strange woman from the previous dream also giggling as she saw the same sight that she did.

"Oh, my... Perhaps you should have gone for a less... trickier game." The woman giggled softly, all the while throwing a rope for him to grab onto, as she helped tug him out of the bog, while the male being's large ears lowered in embarrassment, his bright blue eyes averted as he got out of the bog. "Y-Yes, well... I heard this bird had the most tender meat in all the land."

"Perhaps a wash is in order before we proceed to talk." The woman gave him a smile, as the camelid being nodded his head slowly. "Why, uh, yes... Though if I could... Could I have your name? I am Rauru." He stood up straighter, despite being still drenched in muck, which made the woman laugh.

"You may. I am Sonia. I have a feeling that you and I will have a lot to talk about, if you have the time." She smiled at him.

"Of course. I am grateful for your help."

(Y/n) found herself back in that place, where the strange male being fell into a bog and was pulled out by the woman she saw prior. She recalled that the male's name was Rauru, and the woman's name was Sonia. Whatever significance that was, to be seeing these strangers, (Y/n) really had no idea. She just assumed she was seeing this for a reason. Perhaps it was a symptom of the corrupted stone she was told she possessed... The one she still needed to purify.

Or... She could just be having plain crazy dreams with no other significance, like the usual dream.

"You... Certainly are not what I have expected." Sonia admitted as she was helping clean Rauru, dumping a bucket of water over his head, which made him wince due to the cold.

"Not... What you expected? I suppose I can say the same thing about you. I have never seen a Hylian with ears like yours before." He noted, going to run a hand through his long, thick hair, attempting to remove the rest of the muck from it.

Sonia held a hand to her lips. "My apologies. It is just... We have been fated to meet. I am a priestess, and the Goddess Hylia has told me to come find you." She informed him, a soft smile on her lips. "I must admit, I am quite surprised to find out that you're a Zonai. What is a Zonai doing so far away from Faron?" She couldn't help but ask, as Rauru turned his head from the question.

"It's... Something I do not wish to delve into." He murmured, his blue eyes looking distant, before he met her gaze. "What business does the Goddess Hylia have with me? I haven't heard anything." He questioned her curiously.

"Only she knows. I am sure the answer will come to us with time. I, a Hylian Priestess, and you, a Zonai. That connection has to mean something in itself." Sonia hummed in thought, moving to dump another bucket of water on Rauru, before he quickly held his hands up, appearing to not want to be drenched any more by the bitter cold water. "I-I do not believe that is necessary anymore. Thank you for your help." He bowed his head softly, to which she giggled. "You're very welcome."

There was but one home, not that far away from the well Sonia was scooping water from. Taking that into account, and the fact Rauru was alone, (Y/n) figured that perhaps something happened to his people recently. Perhaps there was a rift that caused him to flee far from Faron, based on their conversation thus far.

Hearing what he was called... A Zonai... It sounded very familiar to (Y/n), especially since his kind apparently settled in the Faron region.

However, his reaction gave away that whatever the issue was, it was not pleasant, and Sonia seemed to not want to bring any potential grief from mentioning the topic further. Instead, she appeared to opt to switch gears.

"If you are not preoccupied, perhaps we can talk over some tea? Consider it further apologies from soaking you with cold water." Sonia gave him a playful smile, to which Rauru agreed with a nod of his head. "Tea does sound nice..."
