lil filler chapter bc i know some of you are missing george 🤍

— 2021.

Compared to the fame, the crowds, and the large stadiums he had already performed in, all those experiences paled in comparison to the terror that was rising in his chest. He was sitting in his car outside a house that could make or break his whole relationship.

His knees trembled, and his hands were so tightly clenched around the steering wheel that Chungha was worried they would shatter under the intense pressure. As they had pulled up in front of her house ten minutes ago, his grip had only grown tighter.

Her nose scrunched up in disgust, but her lips couldn't keep the adoring chuckle from escaping. It was a bit too much information for sure, but she couldn't deny the sensation of her heart fluttering at the thought of him being so open with her. She supposed it was an emotion only a partner could understand, or perhaps it's just exclusive to their relationship. After all, not everyone can be George Lee's girlfriend.

Rubbing his hands over his face, he began to take several deep breaths but none of them seemed to calm down the anxiety. His movements were jerky as he turned to the back seat. "Do you think she'll like the flowers? Are they ugly? Should I just throw them out the window? I'll give her like a hundred grand if she wants. What if she hates my clothes—oh my god, should I change my shoes? Are they appropriate?"

Chungha took George's face in her hands, tapping her finger against his cheek three times, something she came to discover that he actually liked and it often stopped his nervous rants. Reaching forward, she pressed a kiss to his nose.

"You're wearing a tux and those shoes probably cost more than a mortgage, so she'll love them. And the flowers are beautiful, George. She's going to adore you. Don't worry, okay?"

"I'm sorry, I can't help it," he mumbled, relaxing into her hold. "I'm terrified she won't like me. She's the most important person in your life, and I want to make a good impression!"

"George, mothers seem to love you naturally. You just have that mother's favourite vibe to you. It's sweet you want her to like you, and that alone means she will. You're good for me, she'll realize that. But she won't appreciate us being late, so can we head inside or do you need a few more minutes? The poop isn't gonna slip ou—" George cut her off by pulling his face away from her hands as she laughed, making the corners of his lips quirk up.

George cut her off by pulling his face away from her hands as she laughed, making the corners of his lips quirk up.

"I was being dramatic. I'm a master at holding in my nervous shits."

"Oh, I just love when you talk dirty to me."

After a sweet exchange that culminated in an intense makeout session that George insisted would calm his nerves, The couple finally made their way towards the house. She held her boyfriend's hand as she opened the door, and they were instantly met with a comforting aroma of home cooked food and an unknown scent emanating from a candle. George couldn't quite place it but it filled him with a feeling of warmth, reminding him of home.

"We're home!" Chungha announced, slipping off her jacket. George shifted the flowers from one arm to the other as he shrugged off his own jacket which Chungha hung up just as a smaller woman came rushing into the entrance with the widest smile on her face.

Ignoring her daughter, Chungha's woman waltzed straight towards George, reaching up to cup his cheeks. "Oh my goodness! You're even more handsome in person than on tv! I didn't think that was possible!"

George chuckled nervously. "Thank you! You're even more beautiful than Chungha described. I can see where she gets her beauty from."

Chungha's mother pushed his chest affectionately, a slight blush to her cheeks which made her daughter grin widely at the interaction — so far, so good.

"I got you these, I don't know if you'll like them, you can return them if you—"

"Return them? My, I would never! They're beautiful. Chungha, honey, put them in a vase." The older lady pushed the flowers into her daughters chest, taking George by the arm and lead him away.

"Nice to see you too?" Chungha called out sarcastically, though her cheeks physically aches from smiling so much.

Her mother simply waved her off, and sat down beside George, adjusting his bow tie for him. "Oh, i'm just so pleased to meet you! Chungha has done nothing but talk about you. She's so smitten, and I understand why."

George whipped his head around to face his girlfriend, wiggling his eyebrows playfully which only resulted in her hurling a couch cushion at him when she entered the room, much to the dismay of her mother, who immediately covered George's head to protect him.

"Kim Chungha! Don't hurt him!"

"Yeah, Kim Chungha. Don't hurt me."

"Great so now i'm being bullied by my boyfriend and my mother. Did you know that he bullies me, mother?"

The older lady waved her off, fixing George's hair. "You probably deserved it."

Chungha threw her hands up, furious at her boyfriend, who was now basking in the glow of her mother's attention. He had become the favorite, and he was never going to let her forget it. She cursed herself for calming him in the car; she wished she had scared him instead. She took back every kiss she had given him.

When the pair were left alone while Chungha's mother excused herself to see if the food was ready, Chungha slapped George continuously with a pillow. "You just had to go and charm my mother didn't you!?"

George straightened out his suit. "They don't call me Prince Charming for nothing."

"No one calls you that."

"They should."

Chungha opened her mouth to retaliate, but she was interrupted by Bambi dashing into the room, jumping straight onto George. "You've even managed to charm my dog."

George leaned into her just as her mother entered with the food, his warm breath gently caressing Chungha's ear and sending a sparkling thrill down her spine. "Prince Charming," he whispered teasingly.

"I hate you."

"Don't act like you didn't fall for it too." He winked.

Chungha wasn't ready to face the emotions that were bubbling within her, nor how quickly she was willing to take him back to her room. She refused to stroke his ego anymore, her dog and mother, however, could.

Her mother spent the whole of dinner complimenting him, whilst Bambi refused to leave his side.

"George, I definitely think you're the one for my Chungha. My future grandchildren are going to be absolutely perfect—"

Chungha burst into a violent coughing fit, sending George into a state of panic as he frantically patted her back. After the coughing subsided, she wiped her mouth and stared at her mother sternly.

"Seriously? Isn't it too early for that? You're going to scare him away."

George frowned. "Why would that scare me away? If anything, it excites me. I'd be very lucky to be the father of your children."

Chungha was shocked. George had resumed eating as though he hadn't uttered a word, and her mother was visibly swooning. The passionate warmth in Chungha's stomach only intensified at his response; the thought of bringing him to her bedroom suddenly seemed all the more inviting.

Needless to say, he was definitely accepted. Chungha would be lucky if her mother didn't try to steal him away herself.

One thing she knew for sure was that George Lee really was Prince Charming.
