It is November 13, 2018. My father died 3 years ago today and you would expect someone who lost a parent to be sitting on a couch eating their life away mourning over it. It should be one of the worst days of my life. But it is the exact opposite. Today my company makes the biggest sale known to its name. I just might be the most excited and powerful person alive today.
I inherited my father's company on the day of his funeral when the will was read aloud. I had always been considered "the golden child" in extended family. I thought no one could hate me more than they already did but I guess when I was handed the entire future of my family on the saddest day it really put everyone over the top, especially my brother. Now, I'm not one to constantly complain about my past but from all the things that I've done to my brother this is the moment that I will. Only this once.
