"Jimin?" Yoongi says from the living room .

Jimin turns away from the fridge, sees his feathers flutter as his wings swing into place.

Surprisingly, it looks like Yoongi sees them too. His gaze is fixed over Jimin's shoulder, and when Jimin looks, all he sees is his wing.

"What is it?" He asks. It wouldn't make sense for Yoongi to be able to see his wings now, after being together for months.

"Are you wearing a costume? Those look so real." Yoongi answers, stepping closer to Jimin. Jimin takes a step back unconsciously, not able to comprehend Yoongi seeing his true form.

"What are you talking about?" Jimin asks again, his voice rising in anger. He doesn't know why he's mad, but he can hear it in his voice and sees it in Yoongi's face.

Yoongi is surprised at Jimin's anger, since he's never had Jimin be mad at him before. "I didn't mean anything by that, baby. I was just asking about your wings. They're so pretty. Did you get them for a party or something? They must've cost so much."

Yoongi takes another step to make up for Jimin's, reaching for Jimin's left wing. He slowly runs his fingers through the feathers, and Jimin freezes in pleasure and fear. He's in shock that Yoongi can see them, and he's never had his wings touched by the one he loves.

Yoongi's head cocks to the side in realization, and Jimin is grateful for once that this man he loves is so good at hiding emotion. He wouldn't be able to stand fear or disgust right now.

Yoongi doesn't pull his hand away, continues stroking Jimin's newly visible feathers. It's obvious he's realized that they're not a costume, has buried his fingers deep enough to feel the flesh where it connects to Jimin's shoulder blades.

"Are they heavy?" Yoongi asks, completely skipping over the part where a normal person would freak out, ask if they're real, beg for confirmation or denial. He's already figured it out, and he doesn't need anything more.

"Why can you see them? What changed?" Jimin whispers, his gaze stuck to Yoongi's face, unblinking.

Yoongi shrugs, giving jimin a smile. "I don't know. It doesnt change anything. You've always been an angel." Yoongi kisses the tip of Jimin's nose, sliding his arms around Jimin's waist and pulling him into a hug. "I never imagined angels would have patterns on their wings. I've always seen paintings of them, and they only ever had completely white wings. Were you born like that?" Yoongi asks innocently, and Jimin looks at him in cofusion.

"My wings are pure white." Jimin corrects him, and Yoongi nods.

"In the front they are. On your back you've got some black ones."

"What?" Jimin's voice shakes, and he pushes Yoongi's hands off of him, walking to the bathroom as fast as he can.

"Baby?" Yoongi calls as Jimin flips the light on, turning his back to the mirror and desperately trying to push his wing out of the way so he can see their backs. Jimin's voice halts as they finally cooperate, revealing what Yoongi was talking about. Patches of black and gray, colors he never wanted to see on his own wings.

Black feathers are only caused by sin.

Yoongi appears in the mirror in front of Jimin, gently turning the boy away from the glass. "What's wrong? I didn't mean to make you upset."

"Impure thoughts." Jimin whispers, crying now.

"What?" Yoongi asks, utterly confused. "What about them?" He holds one of Jimin's hands in his own, rubbing his knuckles calmly.

"Angel wings only turn black from sin. I've committed a few since I came down to you, but I thought it worked differently on earth, because I never saw them change. I just couldn't see it. I... I won't be able to go back. They'll rip off my wings and throw me back down." Jimin sobs, hiding his face in Yoongi's shirt.

Anger rises on Yoongi's face, "And they call that heaven?" He asks quietly.

"It's better than hell. They hate angels there. I- once I die, I'll have to go there. Without you." Jimin squeezes Yoongi tighter. "I'll be fine as long as they spare you. I want you to get to see heaven."

"You can forget that now. You're not going anywhere without me. I caused you to sin. I'm sure we can go talk to... Jesus, or whoever, and tell them it was my fault."

Jimin shakes his head, almost smiling at what Yoongi thinks heaven is like. "It's not Jesus, and I can tell whoever you think god is is wrong too. Angels aren't supposed to be created with these kinds of feelings. Not supposed to fall in love. There's always been something wrong with me, even before I found you."

"It wasn't you. Whoever created you did it, so it's not your fault. Don't you believe you were made this way for a reason, a purpose? It can't be a sin to fall in love."

"That... wasn't a sin, as long as it's balanced. It wasn't a sin until... well, at some point I started feeling attracted to you, and the feathers must have started when I had my first impure thought. I knew it was wrong, but when I checked my wings, they were still white. I didn't look at my back. I could've prevented it, could've returned to heaven and asked for forgiveness, just one feather would've been forgiven. I started believing that being on earth meant my wings wouldn't change, and I stopped trying to hold back those thoughts. If I go back like this there's no chance of forgiveness. Ever." Jimin cranes his neck to look at his wings again, and Yoongi starts to lead them out of the bathroom. "Maybe they'll let me be reborn."

"Is that what you want?" Yoongi asks gently, and Jimin suddenly remembers that any plan involving Jimin's own forgiveness wouldn't involve Yoongi. If he were given a second chance, he wouldn't ever be allowed to see Yoongi again, to prevent his corruption from happening twice.

"No, I don't know. I want you, but..." Jimin cries.

"I know, baby. Whatever you choose, it's up to you. Don't worry about me." Yoongi strokes Jimin's hair, holding him against his chest.

Jimin yells. "I can't stop worrying about you. I love you. So much. If I ever hurt you, I'd ask to be sent to hell."

"I feel the same way. That's why I want you to choose what's best for you. I love you too."

Jimin looks up at Yoongi . "You do?"

"Yeah. I think I realized this morning, when the first thing I wanted to do was come see you."

"That must've caused it." Jimin whispers. "Love sees through everything."

Yoongi hums. "I guess it does."
