"so who is Jeremiah to you Aubrey?" the prosecutor asked Aubrey who was on the stand

"my girl ex boyfriend" he said bluntly

"and how was your relationship with Jeremiah?"

"I don't like the nigg- language" the judge cut him off

"my bad , I ain't like him" Aubrey shrugged not really caring about what was going on

"so you had motive to kill ?" the laywer asked him making him mug

"just cause you don't like someone don't mean you gotta kill him I just ain't like em just like I don't like you" Aubrey said looking for Solai but he couldn't find her

"sir pay attention" the judge said making Aubrey mug before he sighed wanting this to be all over . they continued to ask him many unnecessary questions which lead to essentially nothing

"we will take a short recess and I'll be back with my verdict" the judge bang the hammer and everyone went to do their own thing

"they not sending you to jail they don't have anything significant , they don't even got a body they had enough evidence to arrest but no convict" his lawyer told him

"so why the fuck am I in these ugly ass jail clothes if they ain't got shit?" Aubrey rubbed his eyes . he was bored and tired . killa had a different court date so he was alone

"because they were planning to fish something out of you while you were up there but you didn't give them anything"

In this moment he didn't give a fuck about the charges or the judge or even the what the laywer was saying he was wondering why solai wasn't there

"you talked to my girl?" he asked the laywer and he felt his heart drop looking at Aubrey who was clearly drained and tired

"yes she got caught up with your daughter since she got the flu nothing serious she sends her love" the lawyer lied

he was forced to lie because that's what Solai told him to do . Solai was in hospital something was wrong with her . very wrong

so with her being in hospital and Aubrey behind in jail this would've stressed him out 10x more

the pregnancy wasn't going well , her body wasn't strong enough for it and since she was only so early in the pregnancy it was hard to tell if she would even make it through the whole 9 months without dying

amirah was fine tho

"oh Ight" he let out a sigh of relief not knowing anything that was happening behind closed doors

"hey girl I got you some food" Gabriella came in with some food and amirah and a smile creeped up on solai's face who looked half dead

"thank you" she whispered since she was in so much pain it was hard for her to do anything

"you feel better or not?" Gabriella asked helping her sit up to eat . Solai waved her hand in the said to show she was alright she wasn't good but she wasn't bad

"Aubrey looking like he finna come out soon when these dumb ass police officers finally drop the charges" Solai nodded with a slight smile

"he doesn't know about you yet you want me to tell him and killa ?" she asked and Solai shook her head no

she didn't want the stress to be on them and she had a good feeling all of this would blow over swiftly

"blue cheese ... ew" Solai mugged making Gabriella laugh

amirah was sleeping and Gabriella picked her up and put her next to Solai because they haven't been in physical contact for a while

oh how I missed my baby Solai thought

"wassup" karine heard her brother say from behind her . she came to visit her brother

"heyyyyyy" she smiled hugging him before they sat down

"how are you?" she asked and he shrugged

"it's Ight nothing too bad . how's everyone on the outside?" Aubrey asked

"good but Solai getting worse" karine said making Aubrey jerk his head back with a stank face

"fuck you mean Solai getting worse ... fuck wrong with Solai?" Karine's jaw dropped realising she messed up

"nothing she good" she tried to lie her way out but it was too late

"karine stop playing with me what's wrong with Solai" you could see the pain in Aubrey's eyes . he was stressed , tired and just over it and this news was making everything worse

karine explained what was going on and as every last word came out of her mouth you could see Aubrey's eyes become more heavy by the second

he didn't have the energy to cry he was too mentally exhausted to even be intact with his emotions . Karine stopped talking waiting for a response and he stared at her blankly

"tell her to call me" he got up and left to go back to his cell . he went back to his feel seeing killa having a rap battle with the other inmates

"bitch you look like madea and you dusty UH , ugly ass nigga you so rusty UH" everyone in the cell laughed and continued to joke but Aubrey went to bed to clear his mind
