Guy Montag, after completing his duties, returned home to find that nobody was there. He had another duty to fulfill - hitting the griddy. He started and did it perfectly, better than John A. Griddy could ever do. His curtains weren't drawn, however: everyone in town saw Guy hitting the griddy and broke into his house, only to join in. Disaster struck. He suddenly exploded, his organs and body parts covering the room and everyone in it.
