It's been 5 years since I last saw my husband Matt. He was deployed 10 days after our honeymoon. Three weeks after he left,
I found out that I was pregnant. I was lucky enough to have his friends Brian and Jimmy to help me with it, I also had my friends Erin, and Kayla who is married to Jim and has two kids.
For the first year we sent letters back and forth, I told him I was pregnant and kept him very updated. I gave birth to a son, due to Matt's request I named him Isaac Charles Sanders. He recently turned 4 on February 9th and shares a birthday with his uncle Jim.
I moved in with Kayla and Jim for the first few months of having Isaac. Then now we are back at our house, it's nice being home but yet it's so empty and lonely here without Matt.
I've known him since I was a little kid, I don't remember a time when he wasn't in my life. Our parents grew up together and we got very close and before our marriage, we were dating for 8 years. It's been a long journey together but every second is worth it.
