A/N: Just like a lot of the songs posted in this book, this one is fictional and derived from my imagination. I seriously have zero experience with guys, just silly, dumb crushes, but writing songs about boys is kinda fun ngl and I hate that tbh.
Anyways, this isn't about any guy in particular, just had some fun with the lyrics to prove a point about a specific type of guy that just put a bad name for all men, when that shouldn't be the case, because not all men are douches. There are good guys, dunno why I believed otherwise for the majority of my life 🙄
1ST VERSE
You think you can level up to me?
With compliments, calling me pretty
Your common sense is more like nonsense
You'll never level up to me If you really believe
A shitty stunt like that would fool me for a second
Oh, you think you're so irreverent
Except you're not ( Yeah, I said it)
So quit the bullshit, it's about time you listen
PRE-CHORUS:
You think you're rare to find
Well, sorry to disrupt your inner belief
But well, you ain't all that
It's about time you know that
Now you know that
CHORUS:
Go ahead, pull out paper roses
So delicate, easy to detach
Did you think I wouldn't notice something like that?
2ND VERSE:
Recite your poems, oh, you know I love them
But that's about it honestly
I can't sign your oath When I know you're bound to go
Cause that's what you do
Suit and tie, dressed to impress
Paris is where your money's spent
You don't have to worry about rent
I guess that's why we're so different
You're so blind You only see women
Your language is paychecks and I don't need no saving
PRE-CHORUS:
You think you're rare to find
Well, sorry to disrupt your inner belief
But well, you ain't all that
It's about time you know that
Now you know that
CHORUS:
Go ahead, pull out paper roses
So delicate, easy to detach
Did you think I wouldn't notice something like that
Well guess what? I noticed something like that
And paper roses make me sad
So take your damn paper roses back
And head back to your habitat
BRIDGE:
I thought you were genuine
For a moment thereI thought you and I
We were heading somewhere
But you closed the highline, Alas, a dead end
After what you did, there'll never be amends
CHORUS:
Go ahead, pull out paper roses
So delicate, easy to detach
Did you think I wouldn't notice something like that
Well guess what? I noticed something like that
And paper roses make me sad
So take your damn paper roses back
And head back to your habitat
