Its late after college. Tom, the lecturer, is still typing away. Flicking through papers trying to plan for the week ahead. He looks tired so he takes of his glasses and starts rubbing the bridge of his nose trying to get a will to carry on but his coffees cold and his eyes hurt. He quickly puts his glasses on when he hears the door open and close to the theatre where he's currently working. One of his students comes in looking for something

"Hello, you alright" he says trying to sound his usual bouncy self even though he is exhausted.

"Oh, hi tom I wasn't expecting you to still be here. I've just lost my script again" she says while looking.

"of course, you have em. Luckily, I'm the best ever" he says holding her script in his hand with a smile on his face. She goes to grab it off him but he puts in to his chest "now don't lose It again" he says with a slight giggle in his voice as he shakes his head. He passes it to her as she smiles and nods at him. She puts her script in her bag and zips it up

"I'll get out of your hair tom, you look busy"

"Wait actually before you go em, please take a seat. Do you actually like drama"

"Well yeah I do, I like it a lot" she said, thinking especially when you're teaching it.

"that's good, my wife and I are going to be teaching a dram course in the community centre for people your age. Do you think that would be a good idea. Or is it to boring" he said with slight disappointment in his voice.

"I think it's an amazing idea. I could invite my sister along. She loves drama. Maybe at the end we could put a show on. What do you think?"

"Sounds like an amazing idea. Thanks for your help em. You're the best" he says before typing on his computer again

"Your so cute when your concentrating"

He looks up with his eyes just over the computer. His eyes look confused

"Oh shit, did I just say that out loud, I should go" she said as she gets up to leave

He giggles to himself. And shakes his head. Pretending he heard nothing he smiles

"Hey wait before you go, I want to tell you, that you're an amazing person and I hope you know that. Don't ever forget how special and unique you are"

"I love you" before she could catch it, it was out in the open. All there hovering in the air, you could cut the tension with a knife "I'm going to go" she says embarrassed. Turning away from him

He stands up and starts walking towards her, she stops in her tracks. She feels his presents. His voice changes from a sweet voice to a deep gruff voice.

"Wait a second. I don't think you understand. I'm a happily married man with two children. We are happy. What are you trying to tell me"

She turns to face him. She can feel his warm breath on her face as he's inches away from her.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean too.... I love you; I've loved you for a longtime. I know my teacher but I love you.......... I think your cute" she starts walking backwards towards the door. He takes one step forwards towards her.

"I'm sorry but I'm married, I can't reciprocate your feelings. I'm happily married to my ...... wife, I have children they are the most important thing in my life. Please respect me and my boundaries" a single tear falls from her eye

"You don't have to be mean about it" tears start falling more

"I'm sorry I came across mean, it's just ......" she cuts him off

"I don't want to hear it" she swings open the door and runs down the street with tear filled eyes. She wished she never said anything now. She wished he didn't have to be him. She wished she never lost her script in the first place and that wouldn't have happened in the first place.

He watches her go knowing there's no point going after her. He thinks to himself. I never meant to hurt her. She is the nicest person I know. I don't want to lose her but I'm a married man. He starts playing with his wedding band pulling it off and putting it back on. He doesn't know what to do.
