A young boy is playing outside when it is dark outside. His parents aren't paying attention to him. There's a scream and his parents come running, only to find that their son has disappeared. They call the police.
"Uh, sheriff?" an officer says.
"What is it?" Kara answers.
"A young boy from the nearby town has disappeared."
Kara sighs. "I'll send some people as soon as I can." The officer leaves and Kara calls Thomas. "Hey, Thomas," she says, "I have a new case for you and Ellie. A boy from the next town over was taken away by something."
"Alright," Thomas answers, "Ellie and I will be at the station soon. You can brief us then."
