I came back home on 27th December but there are holidays going on so, I kinda skipped office and did work from home. There were so many gifts I received for Christmas from dad and everyone that for some days one of my guest room was filled with them before I figured out how and where to put everything.
Today was the new year, I woke at my usual time at 5 and start my day with yoga and stretching before shower and dressing up for the day. Even though I donot have to go to office doing my daily routine brings me a sense of comfort and familiarity. After taking a shower I decided to make breakfast but I wanted to make something fancy so, I made myself four thick pancakes drowned with maple syrup with sunny-side up, avocados and some stir-fried greens. I clicked a picture that I sent to our family WhatsApp group which in so Freddy way of naming stuff terribly was named "Shared DNA" which is kinda funny but I will never accept it in front of him.

I chuckle at my brother's stupidity while I finish my breakfast and kept my phone aside before closing my eyes and let the sun kiss my face.
I rarely go out but, today is different... maybe so I got dressed in a blue jeans and oversized sweater with boots and covered my face with a cloth face mask before grabbing my wallet and car keys. 'Good morning Ms. Silvester', a voice spooked me as let out a scream and turned around out to see Liam dressed in his black suit. 'Liam? Oh my God!!! You scared me', I sighed 'Sorry to spook you ma'am', he said in his robotics voice 'Well... Happy New Year and I thought I gave you an off today?', I said 'Happy New Year ma'am. No ma'am I have been directed by your security team to be with you', he spoke 'Go home please Liam, be with your family', I sighed 'But, ma'am?', he spoke before I stopped him and ask him to go and finally he left and I too get in my car before heading out. I drive around around for some time just casually looking around before making to Starbucks drive thru for a hot cup of coffee. 'Should I get myself a gift?', I thought out loud as my brain try to think of something. 'Bag? Shoes? maybe a new car?', I speak as I wait for the red light to turn green when my eyes fall on a guy who had a cat in his backpack driving a bike 'A cat?', I said before thinking for a moment 'It is a cat then', I smiled before driving to the nearest PetSmart to check if they have a cat available. Parking I walked in when an assistant walked upto me 'Hello?', I nodded not removing the mask 'Hi! How can I help you?', she asked 'Hi! I am looking to adopt a cat', I said 'We have three available now. Come, you can meet them', she said guiding me to the cat pen where little babies were playing 'Spend some time I will be back soon', she smiled as I get in the pen area and sit down as one by one the cats came to me while I play with them. I click some pictures of them playing before one cute little kitten climbs on my lap and makes herself comfortable before falling asleep 'I think the kitten chose than other way round', the sales assistant chuckled 'Ya', I nodded 'What breed is this?', I asked 'Oh...ahh this is Scottish fold', she said 'She is beautiful I'll adopt her', I said 'Great come along', she says as I carefully put her down before walking to the register with her 'Do you wish to have a bed and food and other stuff?', she asks 'Actually I will take the bed and food', I said before making a mental note to order other stuff for her After choosing a cute little bed for her and some food we loaded her up in the car and began my drive 'So, we need to name you something?', I said and she slowly meowed 'Ya', I chuckled Making a quit pit stop at Chick-fil-A I reached home before removing my face mask and shoes and heading straight to the living room where my little kitten followed me like a lost child I opened my food before sitting in front of the TV and immediately putting on Grey's Anatomy my comfort show of all time while the little kitty just wander around the room. In the show Dr. Bailey called for Meredith and the little cat meowed loudly before walking to the TV 'Oh my! Do you like the name Meredith?', I called and she loudly meowed looking at me 'Come here', I picked her up and kissing her. I put her down on the sofa before clicking a picture and sending it to the family group.
