he is controlling of her, and eventually avery is made coriolanus's wife and also the first lady of panem. despite her unexplained love for coriolanus, avery wants to escape from this unfair life.
she keeps quiet until she learns that one of her sisters is indeed alive, and intends to break the sick peace panem is currently in.
