Hey peeps! Just putting this info here for those of you who haven't read a werewolf book yet.
*note: not all werewolf stories are the same. They very quite a lot. Some stories might not have second chance mates, some do. The mate bond can work differently in each story.
Mates: The other half of your soul. Your perfect match chosen by the Moon Goddess. You can detect them after you turn 18 as they have a specific smell only you can smell and you feel sparks when you have contact.
Moon Goddess: She created werewolves, and was the first werewolf.
Marking: Biting your mate in the crook of their shoulder, leaving a mark. In my story it's like a tattoo that matches your mate's one. The tattoo depends on your rank and will be something that is important to your mate and you (how you met, something you have in common, etc.)
Mating: The act of coitus lmao
Ferals: Wolves without a pack that went crazy. In my story some can still shift, some can't. while in their human form they are cruel and demented. Female wolves (She-wolves) have a specific hormone that keeps them from becoming feral.
Rogues: Wolves without a pack, but they aren't crazy and can still shift. Most packs will let them join if they have a good record.
Packs: A large group of werewolves at live together. They can range anywhere from 100 members to 10,000. In my story the Royal pack has about 20,000.
Alpha: The male leader of a pack. This is generational, so the title is passed on from father to son.
Luna: The female equivalent to Alpha. The Alpha's mate in most cases. The Alpha isn't more powerful. They are just the different names for female and male.
Beta: The second in power. The female mate is the Luna's right hand, the male the Alpha's. They will take care of the pack if the Alpha and Luna are both outside of the pack for any reason.
Gamma: Third in power. They are normally head of the guard/warriors and will lead the pack if the Alpha, Luna and Betas are out of the pack.
Shifting: The act of changing form from human to wolf or wolf to human. When they shift they're clothes rip if they don't take them off first. They shift on their 16th birthday.
Mind linking: Packs can talk to each other in their minds. Mates can do the same once they are marked and mated to each other. If you become very close or build a strong bond/trust with another wolf who isn't in your pack and isn't your mate you can form a mind link.
Extra thing, werewolves can heal faster than a human and are faster, stronger, have better smell and hearing etc. Their wolves are also larger than a normal wolf.
Another thing, in my story there is a leader for each region. A King and Queen mostly. One for North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa. I haven't thought too much of this so it might change slightly in the story.
I will not tolerate anyone announcing that they can't read any longer. If you don't like the story, just leave. No need to tell me WHY you're leaving. If you really feel the need to tell me something (CONSTRUCTIVE) as to why you are leaving (grammar, something abt the character, etc.) that's fine, just don't be mean. Also, if you dislike a character (who is meant to be bad/evil) you can talk about that in the comments lol, just don't bash me specifically.
If you have something constructive to add to how I can fix my writing or make it better, you can comment that. I will be deleting any rude comments (to me or other readers) unless it's obvious you are joking around and the other person is fine with it.
No copying my story. This is my original work. A few small things are inspired by the book Hidden Fox by Cavalier_Spaniel I highly suggest going and checking her out! I love her series The War of Wolves <3

Also, this is a werewolf book. It's going to be cringy, it's going to be weird. I tried my best to keep it as little cringy as possible, but I can only do so much lmao.

I'd also like to note, the MC has trauma, and there are some parts where she's supposed to get a panic attack. I just wanted to say, I don't really have experience with panic attacks and I wrote them the best I could, but let me know if there's anything I can change about them (or other medical/mental things) to make them seem more realistic <3
I know this is getting long, but I want to make sure everything is covered lol. Later on in the book there is SA. I don't describe it in depth, but it happens. I will put a warning at the top of that chapter 🥰.
There won't be any smut in this book. I know a lot of people will be disappointed by that (ngl I would be too) but I hope you can enjoy the plot. I just don't feel comfortable enough nor confidant enough in my writing skills to do that. At most there may be a make out scene or something, but nothing farther.
